More from Leadership - San Antonio - 2012

I know I promised more up-close pictures from the Leadership displays a few days (or was it even weeks??) ago - at this point, I don't even know.....!!  Anyway, I was going back through my pictures and found some beautiful projects I wanted to share with you.  So, here goes.....

I didn't know if I needed those Hat Pins when I first saw them in the Occasions Mini Catalog....
Well, of course, now I have lots of fun ideas!!
They even added a few Basic Pearls and Rhinestones on them to jazz them up a bit!

I knew I loved the Blossom Punch...  do you see why now, too??

Lots of fun ideas to try with the Hostess Bundle of products
(yours FREE for hosting a private party with $400 in sales!)
from the Sale-a-bration Catalog - the paper, ribbon, brads all coordinate so nicely!

This Outlined Occasions stamp set in the Sale-a-bration Catalog is cute too, isn't it?

Don't you just love the new Pleated Satin Ribbon in the Occasions Mini?
It's featured here in Riding Hood Red!

And the new Baker's Twine??  It comes in Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Island Indigo and Wisteria Wonder (the 2011-13 In Colors) - you can find it in the Occasions Mini!

Some fun Valentine Card ideas.....

This card features the new Loving Thoughts Stamp set
and the Adorning Accents Edgelits Die (the scallop) in the Occasions Mini.....

And here is another fun idea for the new
Adorning Accents Edgelits Die (the bracket edge) in the Occasions Mini....

And finally.... the new Labels Collection Framelit Dies.....
They are gorgeous....  and so easy to work with!

Don't be surprised if you find yourself making a few of these cards at my Card-making Classes over the next few months :).  There are so many wonderful ideas to choose from....  where to begin!

If you'd like to join us at my next Card-making class,
we'll be meeting on Wednesday, February 8 at 7pm in downtown Alma.

Scrapbook Class - January 26, 2012

Here are the pages we made at Scrapbook Class in January.
I got the idea for these first two pages from the Stampin' Up Leadership Convention!
I can't get enough of the Mocha Morning Specialty Designer Series Paper.
The black printed piece on this first page has flocking on it - it is so FUN to touch!!  We used the Lace Ribbon Border Punch to make the edging along the DSP - so pretty!

This is a close-up picture of the flower we made - we used the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set and the Blossom Punch and added a Clear Rhinestone brad.  I am loving this stamp set - wait til you see the flower in the next picture - it is my absolute favorite stamp right now!

Ok....  so you can't really see it in this picture....  Just wait.... one more picture to go....

Here it is....  The scroll-work on the stamp is what I love so much...  and then the scallop edges are accented so well by punching them out!  How cool!
We finished this flower off with a Silver Glimmer brad - so sparkly and pretty (you don't get the full effect in this picture though, I'm sorry to say...)

Here are a few of the gals that are in the Scrapbook Club - we were missing a few members this particular night, but I brought my camera, so I just had to take a couple of pictures :).  Pictured are:  Jen, Lotte, Els and Kammila - they are such a fun group of gals to spend the evening with!

Here they are..... working hard!

This last page is simple, yet fun.  For me, it's all about the beautiful Designer Series Paper.  This page features the Pocketful of Posies DSP and a flower made with the Fun Flowers Bigz Die and the Big Shot.  How many times have I used that die this year??  You can do SO many fun things with it!
We added a Brights Designer Button to the flower and tied it with some Linen Thread.
You can get those Brights Designer Buttons for FREE during Sale-a-bration.
Just place a $50 order, and they are yours!!  Email me your order today to amy.frillici@yahoo.com!

As always, I hope you enjoyed!!  If you'd like to join us at Scrapbook Class, we meet the 3rd Thursday of every month.  Our next class is on Thursday, February 16th at 7pm in downtown Alma.  Just call me at (989) 330-0259 or email me at amy.frillici@yahoo.com to RSVP today!!

Big Shot/3-D Item Stamping Class - January 25, 2012

Here are the 3 projects we made at our Big Shot/3D Item Stamping Class last night.
This class is also a club - where club members receive exclusive
hostess benefits one month for being a part of the club!

All three of the projects feature the new Sweet Shop Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini.  I really love this paper!  It was fun to share it with everyone at club this month!

This first project is a cute tootsie roll treat holder made with the Scallop Envelope Bigz Die and the Big Shot!  The stamped images are from the P.S. I Love You Stamp set in the Occasions Mini (my favorite Valentine set right now!).  Such a cute, little gift to give to your Valentine this year :).

I got the basic idea for this card from one of the cards displayed at the Stampin' Up Leadership Convention this year.  I absolutely love this paper - I wish I had more than 2 sheets of it - may just have to buy some more!!
We used the new Hearts Collection Framelit Die to cut the heart out of the card front and then stamped "love you" (also from the P.S. I Love You stamp set) on the inside so that it peaks through the heart opening - what fun!  Can you see the Wisteria Wonder Baker's Twine wrapped around the bottom of the card? (You can see it better in person, I think!)

This last project features the Two Tags Bigz Die with the Big Shot.  You need two of the larger tags, adhere them together on the bottom and tie them up with the new Lucky Limeade 1/8" Organdy Ribbon!  We made a box and put it inside the folded tags - and then filled it with chocolate nuggets.  You can fit 4 of them in there.  We made the box out of a piece of Lucky Limeade card stock cut to 3 1/8" x 4 5/8" and scored it on all 4 sides at 1".  Just email me at amy.frillici@yahoo.com for more detailed instructions on how to create this super-cute treat holder!   I made lots of them for the holidays and sold them all, so I thought I'd better stock up on them for Valentine's Day as well!  Oh, I almost forgot....  the stamped image (Cupid) is once again from the P.S. I Love You stamp set and the brad is one of the 2011-13 In Color brads.

I hope you enjoyed these projects!  What fun it was to come up with the ideas this month!  Please join us at our Monthly Big Shot/3-D Project Class at anytime - we meet the last Wednesday of every month.  Next class is on Wednesday, February 29tjh.  Just call me at (989) 330-0259 or email me at amy.frillici@yahoo.com to RSVP for this class in February!

Stampin' Up Leadership Conference 2012

Hello  All!

I just got back from my first EVER Stampin' Up Convention!  I had heard it would be an experience, but you can't imagine what it's going to be like until you are actually there!  Talk about being spoiled....!!  I came back with three new stamp sets, a couple of bolts of ribbon, brads and buttons, and so much more!  The new friendships I made and the memories and lessons from fellow demonstrators were the best part of all!  I am so inspired by all that I learned.  I can't wait to share it with all of you over the next few months!  Here are just a few pictures I took of the displays at the Leadership Conference.  Each one gives so many unique ideas of how to use the products
in the Sale-a-bration and Occasions Mini catalogs.  Take a look!

I know these pictures are a bit far away!
I'll include a few up-close examples over the next few days....
Hope you have a wonderful week!

Card Class - January 11, 2012

Here are the cards we'll be making at Card Class this week on Wednesday, January 11 at 7pm.
Please let me know if you'd like to join us!
We meet the second Wednesday of every month at 7pm at 127 E. Superior St. in downtown Alma.

This is the first card we'll be making.... The base is Pear Pizzaz and then the accents are in Blushing Bride (card stock, poly-stitch ribbon and Twitterpated Designer Buttons).  The DSP is from the new Twitterpated DSP in the Occasions Mini and the sentiment (Happy Birthday) is from the Sale-a-bration set, Elementary Elegance.  There are lots of other fun, simple elements to this card.  Note the dotted edge (on the inside and outside of the card) from the new Occasions Mini Bordering on Romance set (the envelop is stamped with another image from the Borderin on Romance set) - the edge is then cut with the Adorning Accents Edgelit Die.  I used the new Labels Collection Framelits Dies to hold the sentiment.  Overall, I think this is a very sweet-looking card - maybe for a young girl's birthday??

I found this next card idea (actually the next two cards) on Connie Babbert's Inkspired Treasures blog.  I just love the ideas she come up with!  We start with a Whisper White base, add a thin layer of Real Red, then another layer of Whisper White embossed with the Houndstooth Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The hearts are punched out of the Subtles Patterns Designer Series Paper and Pink Pirouette card stock.  The final heart is stamped in Pink Pirouette using the new Occasions Mini P.S. I Love You stamp set (the black "love you" comes from this set as well).  They are all layered on Real Red Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits.  I then added a Real Red brad to finish things off.  What a beautiful card!  Thanks Connie!

Here is the next card I admired on Connie's blog.  We used the new Sale-a-bration Everyday Enchantment DSP and the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit Die from the Occasions Mini to make the small hearts (big heart is just punched).  The sentiment is from the SAB Outlined Occasions Set - we stamped this in Riding Hood Red and filled it in with a Pool Party marker. BTW, the base is also Riding Hood Red with a thin layer of Pool Party and then the Very Vanilla layer is embossed with the Polka Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The final touches on this card are the Basic Pearls and the new Calypso Coral 1/8" Organdy Ribbon from the SAB Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad pack.

This last card is one I found while browsing the Lady and the Stamp blog.  I loved the "crispness" of this white card!  We started with a base of Perfect Plum, then embossed the Whisper White layer with the Perfect Details Texturz Plate - this was my first time using this texturz plate.  I love how subtle the embossing is!  We punched the Perfect Plum scallop with the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch and the white circle with the 1 3/4" Circle punch.  The Bashful Blue circle was made with the Circles #2 Originals Die.  I haven't used the Cupcake Builder Punch in a bit - how cute it is!  We used the Create a Cupcake set.  The final details include the Basic Rhinestones and the White Gel pen "dots" around the scallop circle.  Another cute birthday card!  I can't wait to send it to someone soon!

Well, I hope you enjoy making these cards as much as I did creating them!  I just love this job!

Take good care of yourselves, and I'll hope to see you all soon!
