Our First Big Shot/3-D Club - August 31, 2011

I also want to say "thank you so much" to my new Big Shot/3-D Club members! I am so looking forward to creating and sharing with each of you every month as well!   This club takes me a bit out of my comfort zone....  I love making cards and have seen tons of 3-D type items that I'd like to create, so now I have the inspiration of this club to actually put those 3-D type items together!  We are going to have a blast at club each month!   If you'd like to join the fun, just email me at amy.frillici@yahoo.com. You can come check out the club anytime!

Our first project was a super-cute tri-fold mini photo holder with a belly band around it.  It is a perfect size (about 3x3) for your purse - doesn't take up too much room!  This project also features the Nautical Expedition Designer Series Paper from the Summer Mini.
I just had to use it on one last project!

It unfolds to reveal 3 flaps that fold either up or down.  You can put pictures on any of the flaps or use the space to journal about your pictures!  I also used the Sail Away single stamp from the Summer Mini and the Word Play stamp set from the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog.  I used the stamps "Imagine the Possibilities", "You're in my thoughts; You're in my heart" and "You mean the world to me" on each of the flaps.  Word Play has so many great phrases - I thought it was perfect for a photo holder like this!  Also, if you look closely above, you'll see the cute Jewelry Tag punch and one of the Vintage Trinket safety pins tied through the Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine on the flap on the right side.  On the middle flap below, you'll see that I used my new Color Spritzer Tool to mist a bit of Not Quite Navy ink - how cool!

We also made this awesome masculine-looking birthday card at club.  It says "Not just a year older, but a year better" on front of the card and "Happy Birthday" on the inside of the card.  These stamps are found in the Bring on the Cake stamp set.  It also features the Nautical Expedition Designer Series Paper and the Scallop Trim Boarder punch.  I can't get enough of the Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine (can't you tell!), and I also loved using my new 5/16" Jumbo brads on this card!

I hope you enjoyed these projects as much as I did!

Our First Scrapbook Club - August 25, 2011

First of all, I want to say "thank you so much" to my new Scrapbook club members!  I am so looking forward to creating and sharing with each of you every month!  I am also thrilled to have the inspiration of this club to put another scrapbook together.  I finally put pictures in my first scrapbook and now need another one to document my kids lives for the next few years!!  We are going to have a blast at club each month!  If you'd like to join the fun, just email me at amy.frillici@yahoo.com.  You can come check out the club anytime!

This first page of our new album was made using the colors and fun ideas found in the Playful Polka Dots Simply Scrappin' Kit in the Summer Mini.  I just loved this color combination (Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red, Daffodil Delight, and Old Olive) when we used it to create our mini 6x6 scrapbooks this spring and wanted to use it one more time before it's gone for good on August 31!  The word "FAMILY" was created using the new "Letter It" Stamp set in the current Idea Book & Catalog.

These next two pages were created using the Nautical Expedition Designer Series Paper, the Sail Away individual stamp (two favorites of mine from the Summer Mini), the Word Play stamp set ("You mean the world to me"), the Two Tags Bigz Die for the Big Shot, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine and the Word Play stamp set.

I hope you enjoyed these pages!

My First Workshop Ever!! - August 11, 2011

First of all, I want to say thank you so much to my dear friends for "humoring me" and coming to my first-ever workshop!!  I was really nervous - maybe even more so because these were all of my good friends watching me fumble my way through things...  At any rate, I got some much-needed practice and feel much more confident now.  I also sincerely appreciate all of their feedback, which was exactly what I needed from them!  So, thank you dear friends :).

I demonstrated two cards this evening.  The first card features ALL of the new 2011-2013 In Colors (Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder, Cameo Coral and Pool Party).  I saw this card on the Stampin' Up website and had to give it a try!!  I also used the new In Color Designer Printed Brads, Mini Brads and the 3/8" Cameo Coral Ruffled Ribbon.  Please let me know if you are interested in participating in the 2011-2013 In Color Ribbon Share for just $13.00, and you can play with these beautiful, ruffled ribbons as well!!

The second card I demonstrated features the new Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper (BTW, Stampin Up is offering a Buy 3, Get 1 Free Promotion on all Designer Series Paper thru August 31!!) as well as the Manhatten Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing Foldler, Subtles Flower Brads and the Thank You Kindly Stamp Set.  This set features 4 ways to say "thank you", which I have wanted to do a lot lately, so these stamps have come in very handy!!

I hope you enjoyed these cards!!  I'm anxious to start creating again and will let you know soon what I come up with next!!  Happy Stamping!!
