Betsey's Blossoms

Here is my first card made with product from the new catalog!!  What do you think??

This stamp set is called Betsey's Blossoms and will be available from the new Annual Catalog on June 1 (tomorrow!)!  I also got to play with some of the new In Colors!  Featured on this card are....  Midnight Muse and Gumball Green.  I love the deep, richness of Midnight Muse, and Gumball Green is the perfect summer green color, not to mention how fun it will be to play with it this holiday season! The bird and branch fit perfectly on the new Apothecary Accents Framelits die with the Big Shot - there are 4 framelits to choose from, this one being the largest of the 4 dies.

I tried to get an up-close shot (sorry for the bluriness!).  I wanted you to be able to see another fun, new product.  It's the........Bitty Banners Framelits die.  I stamped Thank You from the new Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set, then cut the perfect Banner with the Bitty Banners Framelit die - there are 3 to choose from in this fun set as well!

Well, I hope you enjoyed this fun peak at some new products!

Graduation Card

I found the idea for this card on Dawn Olchefske's blog, dostamping.typepad.com.  I had wanted to make a graduation card to offer at my upcoming card classes, and I thought this was the perfect idea!!

We started with an Island Indigo card base, then added a layer of Whisper White card stock and then 3 stripes of the totally-fun Sweet Smooches Designer Series paper, available in the new catalog beginning June 1!  We had the chance to "play" with this paper in April, as part of a sneak-peek to the new catalog.  I think I'll be using this paper all summer long - this is one of my absolute favorites :).  The stars are made with the Stars #2 Originals Die with the Big Shot.  The sentiment is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set.

Delightful Dozen    wood-mount    122650   $32.95
Delightful Dozen    clear-mount    122652   $24.95

This stamp set is so versatile, as it has a stamp for 12 different occasions throughout the year (hence, the name!!).  Finally, we added a glimmer brad to the star for a little sparkle!

Hope you enjoyed!

Retiring Stamp Set Sneak Peek #12

I'm trying to get a little ahead of the game this year for Father's Day - someday this will really come naturally to me, right??  Anyway, I've had a couple of already-retired stamp sets that I'd been wanting to play with a bit more and finally found the perfect occasion (Father's Day!).  I love this sentiment....  "you're never more than a thought away.".  I think it's a perfect sentiment for Father's Day!  (BTW, both of these sentiments were stamped in Early Espresso ink.)

For this card, I started with a Crumb Cake card base and added a layer of Baja Breeze, followed by a layer of Pocketful of Posies Designer Series Paper (which IS retiring on May 31).

Pocketful Of Posies Designer Series Paper - by Stampin' Up!

Pocketful of Posies DSP   122354   $8.21

I also added a strip of Baja Breeze and Rich Razzleberry card stock (rather than ribbon) to keep that masculine feel to the card.  Lastly, I added a clip from the Clips Assortment (also retiring on May 31), tied with some linen thread.

Clips Assortment - by Stampin' Up!

Clips Assortment   112580   $6.95

Clip on a little charm with the Clips Assortment. With three different types of clips, you'll always have the perfect accent. assortment includes 24 pieces in our Styled Silver finish: 8 ea. 1/2" x 3/4" Wire clip, 1/2" small library clip, and 1/2" x 3/4" Wide clip.

These clips are all so fun to use!!  Order them today at my website - just follow the link at the end of this post!

Hope you enjoyed!

Scrapbook Class - May 17, 2012

Oh my gosh....  I just love these pages, even if I do say so myself!  I can't take too much credit though!  Stampin' Up does all the work for me - this beautiful Designer Series Paper (Summer Smooches, which will be available on June 1 in the new 2012-2013 Annual Catalog) inspired these pages and the coordinating colors - just take a look at these vibrant, bold color combinations - reminds me a bit of the garden center/nursery I visited the other day - I was just blow AWAY by the beautiful colors on display - you could really tell that there was such love and care given to those plants and flowers - just like Stampin' Up does for it's beautiful designer series papers, and everything else, for that matter!

I used the Frame, Scallop Oval die (retiring on May 31) with the Big Shot for this first page - and mixed up the color combinations on the scallops and ovals to add some additional "pop" to these pages.  I also embossed the flower image (with clear embossing powder) from the Flower Fest stamp set (which is also retiring on May 31) and added a Brights Glimmer Brad for some sparkle!

Flower Fest   wood-mount   122278   $27.95

For this next page, we punched a bunch of Postage Stamp punch pieces with my scraps of Summer Smooches DSP (which I have a TON of already, because I've used this paper so much already!).  We added a couple more strips of this beautiful DSP (the Lucky Limeade and Rich Razzleberry strips, in this case) and clear embossed the butterfly from the Flower Fancy stamp set, too.

I toned it down a bit on this last page....  We used some retiring Designer Series Paper (Just Add Cake and Flirtatious Specialty, in this case) and stamped images from the Pocket Silhouettes Stamp Set (another retiring stamp set).  Lastly, I added a Circle Fire Rhinestone brad to the doily.  What fun!!

Retiring Stamp Set Sneak Peek #11

Here's an elegant wedding card I put together the other day!
It features the Always Elegant stamp set that is retiring on May 31.  I love the swirls and curls in this stamp set - so beautiful :).

Always Elegant Stamp Set - by Stampin' Up!

Always Elegant   wood-mount   116976   $14.95
Always Elegant   clear-mount   120477   $11.95

We started with a Pool Party Mist card base and embossed it with the Elegant Lines Embossing folder with the Big Shot.  I think the swirls on the Elegant Lines coordinate really well with the swirls on the stamp, don't you?.  Then we stamped the image and "Always" in Soft Suede on a Very Vanilla piece (layered on top of a Soft Suede piece) and added a few Basic Pearls to the swirls.  If you don't already own the Basic Pearls, these are a must-purchase!  They are such a great way to add a little texture and dimension, not to mention elegance, to your cards!

Basic Pearls Jewel Accents - by Stampin' Up!

Basic Pearls Jewel Accents   119247   $4.95

• Small, self-adhesive pearls
• 150 pearls per package; 50 each of 3 sizes (2 mm, 3 mm, and 5 mm)
• Each package also includes three 2-5/8" strips of connected pearls perfect for borders

Lastly, we added a Soft Suede 3/8" Taffeta bow to complete this card.

You, too, can make this card at my Card Buffet Classes next week on Tuesday, May 29 or Wednesday, May 30 from 6:30 to 9:30pm - just email me at amy.frillici@yahoo.com
to RSVP today!

Retiring Stamp Set Sneak Peek #10

Aren't these fun baby cards??
I always seem to want to make one each for a boy and a girl!

We started with a Perfect Plum and Marina Mist card base.  The sentiment is from the Word Play stamp set (which is actually NOT retiring - yay!!).  So, I guess this isn't really a retiring stamp set sneak peek - it's more like a retiring accessories sneak peek, but I think that's ok....!  We framed the sentiment with one of the die cuts from the Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die and added the small heart punch and the Clear Rhinestone brad and the Subtles brad in Certainly Celery to the baby heart.  The Clear Rhinestone brads are retiring on May 31,  or available while supplies last.
Clear Rhinestone Brads - by Stampin' Up!

Clear Rhinestone Brads   113144    $8.21

We embossed the side of the card with the new Hearts Adorning Accents Embossing folder.   We also used a strip of Marina Mist and Basic Gray card stock, along with a strip of the Nursery Nest Designer Series Paper (another accessory that is retiring on May 31, or available while supplies last).  Aren't those little birdies too cute??  This was one of those DSPs that I had to make sure to use before it retired :).

Nursery Nest DSP    122347    $10.95

Finally, we added another of my "cheater" bows in Perfect Plum and Certainly Celery 3/8" Taffeta ribbon.   Oh, what fun!!

Hope you enjoyed!!

Retiring Stamp Set Sneak Peek #9

Just one more fun card I made recently!  I found the idea for this card on Dawn Olchefske's blog, dostamping.typepad.com.

This card features a Very Vanilla card base, along with a Rich Razzleberry layer and an Old Olive layer embossed with the Finial Press Embossing folder (which is retiring on May 31, or available while supplies last).  I love how the swirls in the embossing folder mirror the swirls in the "F" of the friends stamped image.  We tied another "cheater" bow with the 1/4" Rich Razzleberry ribbon (also retiring on May 31, or available while supplies last).  This is another one of those cards I already know the perfect friend (actually I can think of a few!) that I will need to send this to!

The stamps are all from the Vintage Vogue stamp set, which is also retiring on May 31.   Yet one more stamp set I am going to miss...!  If you love this stamp set or any of the other retiring products used in this card, place your order today!  Just follow the link at the end of my blog to my Stampin' Up website, then click on Shop Now in the upper right-hand corner.

Retiring Stamp Set Sneak Peek #8

What fun this next card is!  Reminds me of the circus!!

For this card, we started with a crisp Whisper White card base, then added a strip of Big Top Birthday Designer Series Paper (shown below).  You receive 12 sheets per package (2 each of 6 double-sided designs) for $10.95.  This is another DSP that is retiring on May 31 - order yours today!!  Just follow the link to my Stampin' Up website at the end of this post.

Big Top Birthday Designer Series Paper - by Stampin' Up!

Next, we punched a few circles out of circles to make the fun rings.  Then I stamped the sentiment "wish BIG" from the Word Play stamp set (which is NOT retiring - yay!!) in tempting turquoise.  I added a quick bow with the 1/4" Grograin ribbon in Tempting Turquoise (which IS retiring on May 31, or while supplies last).  I forgot to mention earlier that this card was CASED from Mary Fish's Stampin' Pretty blog.   Thanks, Mary, for another super-fun card idea!!  As always, I hope you enjoyed!!

Retiring Stamp Set Sneak Peek #7

Here's another cute card I made recently....

What do you think??  I just love this Flirtatious Specialty Designer Series Paper.  It just makes this card!!  This DSP is retiring on May 31 - get it while you still can!  Just go to My Stampin' Up website (see the link on the tool bar to the right), then click on Shop Now in the upper right-hand corner and check out all the retiring products there.  You can also place an order directly on-line while you're there, if you prefer!

You receive 12 sheets per package (2 each of 6 double-sided designs) for $9.71 (on sale now, while supplies last!!)

Flirtatious Specialty Designer Series Paper - by Stampin' Up!

We started with a Pretty In Pink card base, added a layer of Melon Mambo and then that awesome Flirtatious DSP layer.  The "cheater bow", as I like to call it, is made with the retiring Whisper White satin ribbon - this is such a beautiful ribbon - one more item I am going to miss so much!!  You can still order this ribbon thru the end of May (while supplies last)!  Again, just go to my website to place your order!
The Hostess stamp set, Happiest Birthday Wishes, is one more retiring item
(I really packed them in on this card, didn't I!).  If you place a $150 order today,
this very versatile birthday stamp set can be yours, too!

Happiest Birthday Wishes Stamp Set - by Stampin' Up!

Happiest Birthday Wishes   wood-mount  122615  $21 Hostess
Happiest Birthday Wishes   clear-mount   122617  $15 Hostess

I had to add a little "sparkle" to that birthday cake with the Dazzling Diamonds glitter and a two-way glue pen.  The stamped image is layered with the Large Tag punch (also retiring on May 31) on top of the X-Large tag punch.  Oh my!!

What fun this card is!
I might just have to stash one away for a special little girl's birthday at the end of August!

Hope you enjoyed!
