Wishes All Aglow

Here's a fun holiday card for you today!!  I've been super-busy trying to get all of my customer christmas cards made and ready to go!  I like to put a hand-written note in each card, too, so it takes a little while!  But... it's so worth it!  I love that each person knows I spent a few minutes thinking of them as I addressed their Christmas card :).

Here's an example of a card I might just be sending out this year....

Read on to learn all about it!

We start our card with an Old Olive card base, then added a layer of Basic Black card stock, followed by a layer of Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP).  Aren't those polka dots cute??  Check out all of the other fun designs in this DSP below.

Next, we added a strip of (my favorite) Black & White Striped Ribbon to the card.  This ribbon is so easy to work with - just add a strip like we did here for a dramatic effect on your card.  Or.... you can make fun bows with it, like I did in my previous post here!

Then, we stamped ho, ho, ho and the sentiment in Versamark ink and embossed it with Copper Embossing Powder and our Heat Tool.  I love embossing holiday cards!!  And... the images in this stamp set, Wishes All Aglow, are the perfect choice for this!

One Day Crafting Retreat at St. Mary School in Alma

Well, guess what...  we held a One Day Retreat earlier this fall (I'm not even going to tell you how long ago.... time sure has slipped away from me!!).  At any rate, we had a fabulous time - some people got lots accomplished, some just wanted to get a little done and spend time with friends.....  whatever your pleasure, there's always room for everyone!

So, mark your calendars for our next One Day Retreat on Saturday, April 21 and check out our last retreat here.....

This is a pic of each person's "table setting" when they arrived that morning.

These were the items that everyone received in their goody bag... the Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper Stack, 1/8" Real Red Ribbon and a half pack of the Foil Snowflakes, Rhinestones and Year of Cheer Embellishments.

Here's another look at part of their goody bag....  We put the Foil Snowflakes, Rhinestones and Year of Cheer Embellishments in a cello bag with a cute topper that shows off one of the Foil Snowflakes and the coordinating Christmas Quilt Stamp Set and Quilt Builder Framelits.

I love to make cute name/place cards for everyone, and, of course, they always receive fun "table treats", too...

In the morning, their table treat was a gusseted cello bag filled with peppermints and a cute topper...

Aren't these so fun????  I love the bold, bright colors on these treats!!

Then, in the afternoon, everyone received another cute "table treat".  Both of these treats feature the Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper Stack, Christmas Quilt Stamp Set and Quilt Builder Framelits.

You can learn just how to make both of these cute treats in my video here....

I always like to do a Buy One, Get One Free Sale at these One Day Retreats.  Everyone that attended was able to shop - they bought retired product and then got new Annual or Holiday Catalog product for FREE!!

I also bring all of my current Stampin' Up! Stamp Sets, punches and Big Shot Dies and Folders.  Everyone is welcome to use these products all day long.  It's fun to try my things out and then decide what you can't live without :).

I also bring kits to sell, just in case anyone runs out of things to do....  (has that ever happened to you??)

I do a mini raffle for everyone that attends - each person receives one raffle ticket on their place setting in the morning.

We also do a large raffle with LOTS of current Holiday and Annual Catalog product.

Make-n-takes are also included in the day.  This year we made five cute 3x3 cards and put them in a mini pizza box.  They were so much fun!!

Here's a look at each of the 3x3 cards up close....

And here's that adorbable pizza box up close....

Just look at all of the fun these gals are having...

I'd love to have you join us at our next One Day Retreat on Saturday, April 21.
