Big Shot/3-D Item Stamping Club - Sept 28, 2011

We will be making these 2 fabulous projects this month at club!  This first project features the Kraft Gift Box from the Holiday Mini (see p. 15), along with the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper, More Mustard, Pool Party and Early Espresso card stock, Old Olive, Early Espresso, and More Mustard (to distress the edges of the flower) Classic Ink, the Curly Cute Stamp Set, Bitty Buttons, 1 1/4" Striped Soft Suede Grograin Ribbon, and Early Espresso Baker's Twine.  These kraft boxes will be perfect for those holiday gift-giving needs.  I might even just put mine out on display as a home decor item - they are too cute!!

This second project features the Spice Cake Designer Fabric. I received this in my bundle (the first bundle I've ever qualified for!) and wasn't quite sure what I would do with it. Then I saw a tutorial on-line (I apologize I did not take note of the website.... I'm sure I just googled "Stampin Up Spice Cake Designer Fabric"....) and knew what I had to do!! This is a totally cute fabric flower - there are 9 layers to it - made with the Fun Flowers Bigz Die and the Big Shot. You place the fabric flowers on a piece of paper, spray them with starch, crumple them up in the paper, then take them out of the paper and let them dry for a while, then arrange them as you like one on top of the other. I finished it off with a More Mustard Designer Button and Early Espresso Baker's Twine. I put a clip (to go in your hair, on a purse strap, etc) and a pin (to go on a scarf, your shirt, etc) on the back with hot glue for lots of fun uses! I LOVE IT and am wearing it very proudly now! I feel so crafty!!

I hope you enjoyed these projects as much as I did! If you'd ever like to join us at club, just let me know! Guests and new club members are always welcome! You can pay either a $15 flat fee or, if you place a miminum $25 Stampin' Up order, your class is FREE!! If you decide to join the 10-month club, then you'll also receive the awesome hostess benefits one month during club! Email me at amy.frillici@yahoo.com for more details!

Card Class - September 21, 2011

Aren't these colors gorgeous??  They are some of the new 2011-2013 In Colors - Pool Party and Island Indigo, along with the My Friend Stamp Set and the Lace Ribbon Border Punch - at first, I didn't think I needed this punch - maybe it was a bit too frilly for me...., but then I saw it used on this card (on a blog I like to check out regularly) and knew I had to have it!!

I also fell in love with the colors on this card, as well, while browsing one of my favorite blogs - Melon Mambo, Concord Crush, Lucky Limeade!!  They are inspired by the Hostess Cheerful Treat Designer Series Paper - you can only get this paper if you host a party or join one of my clubs - let me know if you can't live without it!  Extra details used on this card:  Best of Everything Stamp Set (the sentiment says "all I want for you is the best of everything." - how sweet!), Concord Crush 1/2" poly-stitched ribbon (I LOVE the feel of this ribbon!), Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with the Big Shot, Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, and the Basic Pearls.

We made this next card at a Baggie Book Day event hosted by my upline, Ronda Wade, a while back.  I can't say enough about how much I LOVE all of the new Designer Series Paper this year - this is the Beau Chateau DSP (featuring Pink Pirouette, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla), along with the Crumb Cake 3/8" Taffeta ribbon, and the Delightful Dozen Stamp Set.

This last card was created with the Happiest Birthday Wishes Hostess Stamp Set (again, you can only get this stamp set by hosting a party or becoming a member of one of my clubs!), the 1 1/4" Square, Scallop Trim Border and Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punches, Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper (featuring Wild Wasabi, Poppy Parade, So Saffron), Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with the Big Shot (I have used this impressions folder more than any other I own lately - it has so many uses!! - you REALLY need it if you don't have it already!), and Basic Rhinestones.

These cards were so much fun to put together this month.  Thank you, Dawn Olchefske, for your wonderful ideas! - this is the blog I mentioned that I like to visit so much :).

Happy Stamping!

Scrapbook Club - September 15, 2011

Here are pictures of the pages we made at Scrapbook Club this month.  Obviously, I really need to take some photo lessons or even read my owner's manual for my camera - I am no genious at taking pictures!  Nice shadows, eh?  Anyway, hopefully you can see the beautiful colors in these pages...  Or maybe you'll just have to stop by and see the pages live, in-person to get their full effect!

For these first two pages, we used the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper (see p. 17 of the Holiday Mini) on a Soft Suede background, the totally-fun Spice Cake Designer Buttons (they're 1 1/2" wide! and can be found on p. 18 of the Holiday Mini), the Fancy Flower and 5-Petal Flower punches, the Leaves #2 Originals Die, and Alphabet Simple Letters Bigz Die with the Big Shot, and an antique brad (you get 20 of them for $5.95 - I love these things!).

For the last page, we used the Gently Falling Stamp Set from the Holiday Mini (see p. 16 & 17) with Soft Suede, More Mustard, Pool Party and Pear Pizzaz classic ink. On the top, bottom and left sides of the page, I stamped off the images using Crumb Cake ink for a subtle look (see the second picture below). These pages really are gorgeous - if you don't have the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper (which was my color inspiration for this page), you really need to get it! Just email me at amy.frillici@yahoo.com to place an order :).

I hope you enjoyed!
