Sea Street.... Happy Birthday

This is the swap card I made for our Stampin' Up Hawaii Incentive trip....

I had so much fun playing with this stamp set - Sea Street -
the octopus and crabs are just too cute!!

We start our card with an Island Indigo card base, then added a layer of Soft Sky card stock.  We embossed this piece with our Lucky Stars Embossing folder.

Lucky Stars Embossing Folder  135817  $7.95

Next, we stamped:

-our octopus in Island Indigo ink
-the crabs in Real Red ink
-the little schools of fish in Pool Party ink (I decided Soft Sky was too light for this project - and Soft Sky and Pool Party are pretty interchangeable!).

Sea Street Stamp Set  wood-mount  133985  $22.95
Sea Street Stamp Set  clear-mount  133988  $16.95

We also added a strip of Island Indigo 1/4" Cotton Ribbon to the card.

Finally, we stamped "Happy Birthday" from the Guy Greetings Stamp set and punched this piece out with our XL Oval Punch

Sweet Dreams Scrapbook Pages

These are 2 of the pages we made this week at our Scrapbook Class.

This class meets the last Tuesday of every month anytime from 4-9pm.  We make 3 12x12 page layouts each month at class.  You can either pay a flat $15 fee, or your pages are FREE with an order at class.  Then, you take your pages home and add pictures as you like!

If you'd like to join us at the next scrapbook class, just let me know!
The next class meets on Tuesday, June 30.  You can come anytime between 4-9pm - it doesn't take that long, just depends on how quickly you stamp and how much you chat!

We start our page with a Whisper White base, then added a strip of Sweet Dreams Designer Series Paper to the side of the page, along with a strip of the Hello Honey 5/8" Quilted Cotton Ribbon.  This DSP (while the name would indicate it's for baby) is so much more!!  Check out all of the designs on this DSP below - it is so versatile!!  And....  I just love this ribbon - it is so soft and easy to work with!
Next, we added a couple of pieces of Lost Lagoon Card Stock and adhered them to the page with our Sweet Dreams Washi Tape.
We also added a "sun" to shine down on our page by punching a Hello Honey 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch and layering that with a 2" Circle Punch using the "sun" pattern from the Sweet Dreams Designer Series Paper.
Sweet Dreams Designer Series Paper  137782  $10.95
Hello Honey 5/8" Quilted Cotton Ribbon  137864  $6.95
Sweet Dreams Washi Tape  137787  $7.95
Here's a look at our next page - we used a couple more strips of the Sweet Dreams Designer Series to frame this page as well.

Next, we added a square piece of Sahara Sand card stock layered with yet another piece of the Sweet Dreams Designer Series Paper - I love those white fuzzy dots - they almost look like cotton balls!

Then, we stamped those sweet little hearts (in Crisp Cantalope ink) and the "so sweet" sentiment (in Lost Lagoon ink) from the Hello Life Stamp Set on another piece of Sahara Sand card stock and layered that on top of a Lost Lagoon square piece.
Hello Life Photopolymer Stamp Set  137136  $24.95

Next, we added a strip of the Hello Honey 5/8" Quilted Cotton Ribbon and one of the cute Sweet Dreams Designer Buttons tied with some Linen Thread.  I just love the faux stitching on that button!

A strip of the (Hello Honey) Sweet Dreams Washi Tape and a couple of polka-dot hearts (stamped in Lost Lagoon and Crisp Cantalop ink and punched with the Sweetheart Punch) complete the page.  The hearts can be found in the Groovy Love Stamp Set - it's not just for Valentine's Day!!

Sweet Dreams Designer Buttons  137857  $5.95

Linen Thread  104199  $4.50

Groovy Love Stamp Set  wood-mount  134243  $24.95
Groovy Love Stamp Set  clear-mount  134246  $17.95

I hope you enjoyed these pages!!  Check back later to see the last page we made at class this month!!

I hope you have an Inkspired day!!

May Group Meeting Shoebox Swaps

These are the cards we made last week at our Group Meeting.  Since I had just gotten home from Hawaii the day before our meeting, we decided to do a shoe-box swap instead of our standard meeting.  Each of the cards turned out so well!!  I hope you're as impressed by the talents of our Inkspired Stampers as I am!!

Nancy chose to feature the Petal Potpourri stamp set and coordinating Flower Medallion Punch - these 2 items are bundled together for a 15% savings on both items.  And..  I've had a chance to peek at our next Annual Catalog...  this stamp set will not be carried over, so make sure you order it by June 2!!

A Trip to Hawaii with Stampin' Up! - True Paradise

Here are some pictures from our trip to Hawaii!!

We had such an amazing time!!

This was an all-expenses paid trip, provided by Stampin' Up!.  A demonstrator is rewarded with this Grand Vacation based on her sales and leadership with her group.  A lot of hard work goes into earning these trips, but it's so much fun, too!!  Who doesn't love to stamp, right??

Thank you so much to all of my incredible customers and amazing Inkspired Stampers family for your support of my Stampin' Up! business.  I could not have earned this trip without each and every one of you!!  I have been blessed with a wonderful business, and, more importantly, many wonderful friendships!

Now, on to the trip....

We spent our first morning at the Polynesian Cultural Center..... it was absolutely gorgeous!!

my kids, Lilly and Cade (Cade represented the Maize and Blue very well!)

Later that day, we spent some time relaxing at the pool - this was the view from my lounge chair...

a view of the pool area from just inside the hotel lobby...

The following morning we took a hike on Diamond Head - these are some of the views from the top of the mountain....

That night, we explored the shops at Waikiki and had a great seafood dinner (well, I did! - the kids, not so much!).

The following day, we rented a car and explored the island of Oahu - take a look at what we found....

The kids got hot in the car......

We spent a lot of time at the beack in Waikiki the next day - it was such a beautiful beach!
I could have walked along the beach all day long.....

We had the best fish tacos at this oceanside cafe.....

I loved the architecture on this hotel - reminds me of the south (or maybe it's the rocking chairs that remind me of the south...)!

This was our view from the balcony - the pool and the ocean - ahhhhh.....

We spent our final night at a BBQ on the USS Missouri Battleship - what an experience this was.....

Stampin' Up! even made cute table decorations, of course!

the view from the walkway onto the ship...  that's the USS Arizona Memorial in the distance....

I hope you enjoyed this quick peek into our trip!!

And, thank you so much to Stampin' Up! for making the trip such a memorable experience for us all!  The excursions, pillow gifts and time spent with family and friends was amazing!!
