Gathering Inkspiration Stamp Studio Valentine's Day Party

We like to party!!

Yes, here at the Gathering Inkspiration Stamp Studio, we enjoy a good party!!

We had so much fun back in December at our Christmas Party that we (actually, Beth, Gwen and Sabina!) decided we ought to do another party!  These 3 fabulous gals planned it all!!  From the Make-n-Take treat to our Valentine bag to the food, they planned and prepped for it all!!

I am so grateful for their help, and I know everyone else that attended the party was, too!!

Here's a closer look at our Make-n-Takes for the evening...

We each decorated a bag that we later put our Valentine Swaps in - we had so much fun exchanging our Valentine's with each other (just like we used to do when we were little!).  How cute!!

We made this beautiful card (designed by Sabina).  We put a strip of Basic Black Card stock on the top of our bag and adhered each end of the strip of card stock with Sticky Strip.  The card then hangs over the strip of card stock.  What a fabulous way to give a gift, and a card AND decorate the bag all at the same time!!

We embossed the front of our card with the Happy Heart Embossing Folder.

Next, we die-cut the small Real Red background hearts with our Heart Framelits.

Then, we made those cute bows with our Bow Builder Punch and Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack

Finally, we stamped "You Made My Day" from the And Many More Stamp Set and added it to our card.

Here's a peak at the treat we each made...

We filled a 4x6 Cello Bag with chocolate and then made this awesome tag (designed by Beth!).

We cut the top of our tag with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, stamped the tag with Crisp Cantalope ink and the "splotch" stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set and added some fringe to the bottom of the tag with our Fringe Scissors.

Next, we punched that cute heart with our Sweetheart Punch and added the arrow with our What's Up Punch (just cut the arrow in half and adhere behind the heart).

Come Home to Alma for the Holidays

Every December, our town hosts an event called "Come Home to Alma for the Holidays Celebration".  There is a Parade (where Santa comes to town!), sleigh rides, carolers walking thru town and lots of events inside the stores.

This is my second year at the stamp studio in downtown Alma, and I love being able to offer for the kids (and adults!) to stop in and make a cute gift tag while they're wandering around town.

I always like to keep them very simple as it is mostly kids that make the gift tags - I've heard them say they're going to put them on a gift for mom, dad, grandparents and teachers - it's so sweet!

So, at the very end of the night, I realized I hadn't taken any pictures of the kids actually making their gift tags - bummer!  My niece, Emma (on the right), and her friend, Alexis, were the last 2 kids in the studio, so I got a quick shot of them making their tags before they headed out the door!

Don't they look cute, by the way??  They had danced in the Nutcracker Ballet earlier in the evening and were still all dolled up :).

I hope everyone had as much fun at the Come Home to Alma Event as we did at the stamp studio!

Studio Christmas Party - Thursday, December 4

Here are a few pictures from our Gathering Inkspiration Stamp Studio Christmas Party last night....

We had so much fun!!

These are the cute gift tags and gift enclosure cards that everyone got to make!!

Here's the winner of our Ornament Contest (Miss Jane Staples (on the right).  On the left is Amanda Cashen (holding the winning ornamnent!) - she drew the number of the ornament contest winner and got to take that ornament home!!
