Flurry of Wishes

This card features a color that I've wanted to use for the holidays since it was introduced last summer....   I don't think I ever used it on a holiday card last year, so I was determined to do so this year!!  And we did!!  

This was a card that I offered as a make-n-take at a One Day Retreat that I was a vendor at last month.  Everyone enjoyed the card (and I got lots of compliments on it, too!).

What color is it, you ask....  Just read on to learn more...

We start our card with a Whisper White card base, then added a layer of..... can you guess??....  Blackberry Bliss card stock, followed by another layer of Whisper White card stock embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.

We also added a bow using the Whisper White 1/4" Cotton Ribbon to the embossed Whisper White piece before we added it to our card.  This is a simple "cheater bow" - just put a strip of ribbon on the card and tack it behind the card with adhesive, then tie a small knot around this strip with a separate piece of ribbon.  Make sure to keep the ribbon on the bolt as you are tying the knot - it's so much easier to work with than using a tiny piece of ribbon....

Next, we stamped "Sending you a flurry of warm Christmas wishes" from the Flurry of Wishes Stamp Set on the bottom of our card.

We also stamped those gorgeous snowflakes from the Flurry of Wishes Stamp Set and punched them out with the coordinating Flower Medallion and Snow Flurry Punches.  The Snow Flurry Punch and Flurry of Wishes Stamp Set are also bundled together for a 15% savings on both items!

Finally, we added a Rhinestone to the center of our snowflakes.

Happy Christmas... Oh, What Fun

I just love this Designer Series Paper - the Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper, that is!!

This seasonal design was hand-watercolored by one of the awesome artists at Stampin' Up!. You'll love this one-of-a-kind paper that has the soft look of watercolor

We start our card with a Night of Navy card base, then added a layer of Whisper White card stock.  Next, we added that gorgeous piece of Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper, layered on top of another piece of Night of Navy card stock.

We also added a few Rhinestones to the center of the snowflakes to give them a little added sparkle.

Next, we stamped "Happy Christmas" from the Oh, What Fun Stamp Set and die-cut it with one of the Circle Framelits.   This piece was layered on top of another Night of Navy piece die-cut with the Circle Framelits.

Peaceful Pines

Here's another beauty for you today...

This was another card we made at the All Occasion Card Class last month....

We start our card with a Real Red card base, then embossed another piece of Real Red card stock using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder (I really do love this folder!) and added it to our card.

Next, we made a "tag" to go on our card using a 2" wide strip of Crumb Cake card stock and the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.  We stamped our sentiment (from the Peaceful Pines Stamp Set) in Black Memento Ink - this is such a nice sentiment!

We also added a Whisper White Satin Ribbon to the top of our tag and tied it with Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine - too cute!

Then, we stamped one tree in Garden Green ink (from the Peaceful Pines Stamp Set) and die-cut it with the coordinating Perfect Pines Framelits.  The other Garden Green tree was also die-cut with the Perfect Pines Framelits - I just love the 3D look of the branches on this tree!  And...  this stamp set and framelits are also bundled together for a 15% savings on both items.

Finally, we added a star to our tree (using Red Glimmer Paper and the mini star punch found in the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack) and some Sahara Sand Lace Trim to the tag before adding it to our card.
