Stampin' Up Regional Convention in Lansing, MI

Here are a couple of pictures from the Stampin' Up Regional Event my group attended in Lansing on November 10!!  What an awesome experience it was!!  I even got to speak briefly with Shelli Gardner, Stampin' Up's Co-founder and CEO - of course, that was a real treat for me :).

These gals are all in my downline - well, now they are!!  Jane (on the far left) came as my guest that day.  But, Stampin' Up offered a great incentive (any free stamp set out of the catalog) if she joined that day at the Regional - so, on top of 10 Free Ink Pads!, Jane also got to pick a free stamp set!!  She just couldn't say no!  I'm thrilled to have her "officially" in our group now!  Next to Jane are my cousin Sonia, Aunt Marty, Chris (not related!) and Shawn (also not related!).  We had so much fun!!

Here is Chris receiving her free "Prize Patrol" prize from Shannon West.  We met Shannon, and a few of the other gals from the Stampin' Up corporate office, the night before the Regional at an event that our upline, Ronda Wade, held.  It was really neat to meet these gals, and then see them the next day at the Regional, too!  They were all so sweet!

This last picture is my swap for the day!  Of course, I CASE'd it (from Tammy Fite) on Stampin' Connection!  I LOVE this Festival of Prints DSP Paper Stack.  There are so many great patterns in this cute stack of paper!  I made the Snowflake from the Snow Flurry Bigz Die in Lucky Limeade (the medium snowflake) and Cherry Cobbler (the small snowflake) and added a pearl to finish it off.  I wrapped 5/8" Victoria Crochet Trim around the card and stamped the sentiment "Merry Christmas and a happy new Year" from the Delightful Dozen set.  I just love this card - thanks to Tammy for her inspiration!!

Holiday Stamp-a-Stack, Saturday, November 17

Here are the fun cards we'll be making at the St. Mary School Fundraiser next Saturday, November 17 from 11am-4pm!!

This first card was inspired from a swap I received from Ruth Snyder at the Stampin' Up Hilton Head Incentive Trip in September - I haven't used the mitten punch too much yet and wanted to give it a try!  This cute card also features the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder, Gumball Green Sweater trim and Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper.  The sentiment, Happy Christmas, is from the More Merry Messages Stamp set in the Annual Catalog.

This next card is one I've seen in so many places, I'm not sure who to give "official" credit to...!  I wanted to change the color scheme up a bit - beyond the traditional red or green - and chose Elegant Eggplant for the Ornament and card base and a Very Vanilla background.  The Very Vanilla piece is stamped with the swirl from the Everything Eleanor Stamp set and then embossed with the Holiday Frame Embossing Folder.  The ornament is die cut and stamped from the Ornament Keepsakes Bundle and the sentiment, Peace on Earth, is from the Greetings of the Season Stamp Set.  I love this simple, elegant card!

 I found this next card on Stampin' Connection - thanks to Debbie Currier for this fun, sweet card!!  We start with a Cherry Cobbler card base and add a layer of Crumb Cake Card stock.  Those cute gingerbread men are stamped (in Chocolate Chip ink) and die cut with the Scentsational Season Bundle, then we added a little sparkle to their buttons with the Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details.  We finish this card off with a Cherry Cobbler Seam-Binding bow and stamp "Christmas Cheer" from the Sweet Essentials Stamp Set.

 This last card in the Holiday Stamp-a-Stack was inspired by a card I saw in my Stampin' Success magazine.  This is a bi-monthly magazine that all demonstrators receive - purchase the Stampin' Up starter kit, and you, too, can receive this great magazine filled with beautiful stamping ideas and projects!! 

This card starts with a crisp Whisper White card base and another layer of Whisper White embossed with the Northern Flurry embossing folder.  We added some Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details to the inside of each of the embossed snowflakes.  Then, we cut the large silver snowflakes from the Brushed Silver Specialty paper using the Snow Flurry Bigz Die with the Big Shot.  The final touch is the "Believe" sentiment, from the Snowflake Soiree Stamp set, embossed with Silver embossing powder!
