Big News.... It's Your Birthday

I love the bold, bright colors on this card!!  How about you??

I think it would be perfect for a guy or a girl - so, I probably better keep it for those "guy" birthdays that I never seem to have enough cards for!

We start our card with a Crushed Curry card base, then added a strip of 2015-17 In Color Designer Series Paper (DSP) to the card (in the Cucumber Crush pattern).  This DSP also comes in Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder, Tip Top Taupe and Delightful Dijon - in 4 different patterns of each!

Next, we stamped "it's your birthday!" and "enjoy the fuss" from the Big News Stamp Set in Basic Black Archival Ink. I love the size of the sentiments in this set - you don't need much else to create a great card with these stamps!  The sentiments really speak for themselves.

Then, we stamped a heart (in Crushed Curry ink), the smaller "swoosh" (in Cucumber Crush ink) and the larger "swoosh" (in Bermuda Bay ink) - all of these images can be found in the Work of Art Stamp Set

We layered this stamped piece on top of a piece of Basic Black card stock, 

to really make it pop off the card.

Finally, we tied a Bermuda Bay Thick Baker's Twine bow around this piece.  Then, we added this piece to our card with Dimensionals

For a fun, finishing touch, we added a few Rhinestones to the card.

Oooooohhhh, I love this card.....

There's just something about the soft, feminine, natural feel of this card that gets me.....

Here are all the details.....

We start our card with a Mint Macaron card base, then stamped those gorgeous flowers (from the Choose Happiness Stamp Set) in Mint Macaron ink as well.

Next, we stamped the leaves in Mint Macaron ink and the bird and sentiment "When I need a friend, you're there." in Soft Suede ink - these images are all from the Choose Happiness Stamp Set as well.

Before adding this Very Vanilla piece to our card, we tied a Burlap Ribbon bow around this piece and then added it to our card.  To learn more about how to get these cool, textured strings from your Burlap Ribbon, just go here.

Then, we stamped the wood-grain image (also from the Choose Happiness Stamp Set) in Soft Suede ink and die-cut it with our Banner Framelits.
