I also want to say "thank you so much" to my new Big Shot/3-D Club members! I am so looking forward to creating and sharing with each of you every month as well! This club takes me a bit out of my comfort zone.... I love making cards and have seen tons of 3-D type items that I'd like to create, so now I have the inspiration of this club to actually put those 3-D type items together! We are going to have a blast at club each month! If you'd like to join the fun, just email me at amy.frillici@yahoo.com. You can come check out the club anytime!
Our first project was a super-cute tri-fold mini photo holder with a belly band around it. It is a perfect size (about 3x3) for your purse - doesn't take up too much room! This project also features the Nautical Expedition Designer Series Paper from the Summer Mini.
I just had to use it on one last project!
It unfolds to reveal 3 flaps that fold either up or down. You can put pictures on any of the flaps or use the space to journal about your pictures! I also used the Sail Away single stamp from the Summer Mini and the Word Play stamp set from the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog. I used the stamps "Imagine the Possibilities", "You're in my thoughts; You're in my heart" and "You mean the world to me" on each of the flaps. Word Play has so many great phrases - I thought it was perfect for a photo holder like this! Also, if you look closely above, you'll see the cute Jewelry Tag punch and one of the Vintage Trinket safety pins tied through the Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine on the flap on the right side. On the middle flap below, you'll see that I used my new Color Spritzer Tool to mist a bit of Not Quite Navy ink - how cool!
We also made this awesome masculine-looking birthday card at club. It says "Not just a year older, but a year better" on front of the card and "Happy Birthday" on the inside of the card. These stamps are found in the Bring on the Cake stamp set. It also features the Nautical Expedition Designer Series Paper and the Scallop Trim Boarder punch. I can't get enough of the Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine (can't you tell!), and I also loved using my new 5/16" Jumbo brads on this card!
I hope you enjoyed these projects as much as I did!
