Here are the projects we made at the 3D Project/Big Shot/Gift Item Class this week.....
This first project is a photo book - it holds ten 4x6 pictures inside and makes the perfect Father's Day gift. Just fill it with your favorite family photos and give to Dad this year!!
This first project is a photo book - it holds ten 4x6 pictures inside and makes the perfect Father's Day gift. Just fill it with your favorite family photos and give to Dad this year!!
For the cover, we started with a Smoky Slate base on the back (9 1/4" x 4 3/4" - score the long piece at 1" and 2") and added a Night of Navy base (6 1/4" x 4 3/4") on the front of the photobook. Attach the front Night of Navy piece to the first 1" scored piece of Smoky Slate to create the front fold. It's also folded at the 2" score mark to create the binding for the photobook. We added 5 clear envelopes to the inside of the photobook (just peel the backing off the envelopes and lay flat, one on top of the other). Next, we put brads thru the binding and added a Night of Navy candy dot to each brad base.

Next, we added a layer of High Tide
Designer Series paper. Then, we
stamped images from the By the Tide Stamp Set (in Night of Navy, Smoky
Slate and Cherry Cobbler) and stamped "Live the Life you Imagined" from
the Really Good Greeting Stamp Set.
We die-cut this piece with the Apothecary Accents framelits and popped
it up on dimensionals. We also punched out the little anchor piece
using the 1" circle punch. Finally, we added some Silver Baker's Twine
around the front and attached the circle/anchor piece with a Mini
Metallic Clothes pin.

I thought it would be fun to add a special card to go with this great Father's Day gift!
It coordinates well using some of the same images in the photobook from the By the Tide Stamp Set. This time we stamped the coral in Calypso Coral to coordinate with the strip of High Tide Designer Series Paper. We also embossed the Night of Navy fish using clear embossing powder - you can emboss with any of our ink colors and clear embossing powder now!!
We also die-cut the circle-piece of Smoky Slate dotted Designer Series Paper (from the High Tide DSP) using the Circle Framelits. Lastly, we stamped "Happy Father's Day" from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp set and die-cut it with the Bitty Banner Framelits. Thanks so much to Justin Krueger for his inspiration on this card!
