3D Project/Big Shot Class/Club - Thursday, December 27

Here are the cute Valentine projects we made at class this week!!  It's hard to believe that the holidays are over, and Valentine's Day will be here before we know it!!  We had lots of fun creating these cute treat holders this month!!



This first "treat" is a CASE from Becky Robert's blog.  I thought these were adorable treat purses!!  I think every little girl (and maybe some not-so-little girl's, too!) would love to receive one of these!!

We start with the Top Note Bigz Die for the purse, cut another layer of the Polka Dot Parade DSP with the same die (and then trim along the dashes to create that layered look!).

We also ran two hearts thru the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit die and then punched the red one with the Full Heart punch to create another layered look!

Finally, we added a "handle" with the Whisper White 5/8" Organza ribbon!

This next treat holder is created with two of the Two Tagz Bigz Die cuts - one layered over another on the bottom and then tied together with Whisper White 3/8" Taffeta ribbon. 

Oh, and those cute little hearts layered here and on the previous treat were made with the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit die.

The last treat was also made with the Two Tagz Bigz Die (the smaller tag in this case).  We then added a couple of layers of scallops - the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle punch, the new 1 1/4" Scallop Circle punch (it's cute!) and another of these is a "sneak peek" at an item from the Spring Catalog - can't wait for that to go live on January 3!  Are you ready, too??

Scrapbook Class/Club - Thursday, December 27

Here are the Scrapbook pages we made at class this week!!   This first set features the Merry Moments Simply Scrappin' Kit from the Holiday Catalog.  I got the idea for these pages from a 12x12 Scrapbook we put together at Ronda Wade's Creative Convention back in the fall.  The girls all had fun making their own pages - my examples were very simple.  I let them each create their own pages with the die cut embellishments from the kit, some 1/4" stitched grograin basic gray ribbon and some pearls!  Each person's turned out very unique!!  I just wish I had thought to take pictures so that I could share them now!!

 This next set of pages were CASE'd from Sheila Jamison on Ronda Wade's Creating Success Facebook group.  Thanks so much for sharing, Sheila!!  These pages came in very handy this month as I really had no idea what I was going to do for a design concept!  I really love the bold look of these pages!!



This first page features the Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper, as well as the DSP from the Merry Moments Simply Scrappin' kit. 



We also used the Snow Flurry Bigz Die and the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Die for the "Be Merry"!

Treats for Cade & Lilly's Schoolmates!!

Here are the treats we made for Lilly and Cade's schoolmates today!! 

We had fun handing them out to everyone at the end of the day!!



They each personalized their greetings.  I guess Cade is a little too old to say "Love, Cade" now...



But, Lilly is not :).  Too sweet :)  (however she could fit it on the tag!)

All-Occasion Card Class/Club - Wednesday, December 12

I saw the idea for this first card at my cousin, Sonia's, house, not too long ago...  I knew I'd have to try it!!  It's just too cute!!

For this card, we start with a Crumb Cake card base, then add a layer of Gumball Green embossed with the Chevron Embossing folder, then add another layer of Crumb Cake card stock cut with the Top Note Die with the Big Shot - I haven't used this die in a loooong time!!  But I still love it!!

We punched the cute Christmas trees (made with the Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper) with the Petite Pennants Builder punch and then the tree trunks are made from the Early Espresso 1/8" Taffeta ribbon.

This next card is a CASE of a card I saw on my fellow RubberQueen, Sara Bolz's, blog recently - I love this DSP and was excited to find a card to make with it!!

For this card, we start with a Very Vanilla card base, then add that beautiful layer of the Candelight Christmas DSP - and... do you see that Champagne Glimmer Paper sparkling behind the DSP - it's the perfect touch!!

We also stamped one of the beautiful ornaments from the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set (and die cut it with the Holiday Ornaments framelits) in Early Espresso - can you see that little glimmer in the middle of the ornament??  That's just a touch of Champagne Glass Stampin' Glitter - what fun!!  Finally, the sentiment, Christmas Blessings, is from the More Merry Message stamp set - the perfect Holiday stamp set with so many versatile holiday sentiments!!

Here's another cute card I found while browsing Stampin' Connection!  Thanks to Tanya Bell for sharing!!

I loved the idea of die-cutting the tree image (with the Holiday Collection Framelits) from the top Whisper White layer and then adding that fun layer of Snow Festival Designer Series Paper behind it.  We keep it simple with another sentiment, Season's Greetings, from the More Merry Messages stamp set.  A cute bow in Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon and a shiny red star punched with the Merry Minis Punch pack  from Red Glimmer Paper are the final touches!!

For this card, we start with a Cherry Cobbler card base, add a layer of Crumb Cake card stock, then a layer of Very Vanilla that is embossed (with the Delicate Designs Embossing folder) and die cut (with the Large Scallop Edgelit).  The mittens and stars are stamped from the Make a Mitten stamp set and, the Christmas sentiment is from the Seasonal Sayings stamp set.  I just love the warm, cozy feel of this card!!  How about you??

Christmas Under the Stars - Friday, December 7

I was invited to participate in the Christmas Under the Stars program in downtown Ithaca last Friday night!!  It was so much fun!!  They held a parade through town, had fun projects for the kids to make, fires burning in fire pits to warm your hands and toes, festive holiday music playing in town and Santa even made an appearance, too!!

I'd like to thank my "lovely assistant" as she'd like to be called :), Miss Roxann, for helping out at the craft show!!  It was so nice to have her company and smiling face along side me!  We had a great time - and please don't ask about the Winery we found ourselves at after the show was over!!

I always like to have a Make-n-Take card available for people to try as well!!  It breaks the ice and is a great conversation starter!!  Plus, it's so fun to see people that have never stamped before make a beautiful card - I love to see that pride on their faces :).



Well, I hope you enjoyed!!  I certainly did enjoy meeting lots of new women (and even a few men!) in Ithaca last Friday!!
