Scrapbook Class/Club - Tuesday, October 28

Here are the pages we made at Scrapbook Class the other night....

This first page is the 2nd half of the layout we started last month (and, of course, it coordinates beautifully with the page we made in the September Scrapbook Class!!).

We added a strip of the Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper to the right side of the page, along with a strip of Early Espresso Card stock behind it.

Then, we created a similar look on our Apothecary Accent piece in the upper-left corner of the page -
this time using the stamp set, For All Things. 

First, we die-cut two pieces of card stock using the largest die in the Apothecary Accents Framelits - one in Very Vanilla and one in Early Espresso (we cut this piece in half and layered it behind the Very Vanilla piece).  Next, we stamped the water splotch in Sahara Sand ink and sponged the edges of the paper.  Then, we stamped the remaining leaf and  acorn images in Crushed Curry, Soft Suede and Cajun Craze ink.  Finally, we added an Antique Brad to the top of the piece for a final, finishing touch.

These are the next 2 pages we made at class.....

They feature the beautiful All is Calm Designer Series Paper!

This first page starts with a strip of the All is Calm Designer Series Paper along the left side, along with some Silver 1/8" Ribbon.  We also stamped those gorgeous stars (from the Bright & Beautiful Stamp Set) in Soft Sky ink and die-cut them with the coordinating Star Framelits.

Next, we stamped those beautiful feathers (from the Four Feathers Stamp Set) in Lost Lagoon and Smoky Slate ink and die-cut them with the coordinating Feathers Framelits - these two items are bundled together for a 15% savings on both!  We also die-cut one feather from the Silver Foil Sheets.  Finally, we added a Lost Lagoon 3/8" Silky Taffeta bow to the feathers.

And here is the last page we made this month.....

We stamped the snowflakes (from the Endless Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set) in Lost Lagoon, Pear Pizzaz and Soft Sky ink along the top of the page.  We also added another strip of the All is Calm Designer Series Paper along the bottom of the page, along with some more Silver 1/8" Ribbon.

We also stamped a fun Holiday tree in Smoky Slate ink and then added the Pear Pizzaz dots to the tree - using the Festival of Trees Stamp Set and coordinating Tree Punch (these items are also bundled together for a 15% savings on both - so many great deals to choose from!!).

Then, we had some fun.... we stamped the splotches from the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set in Lost Lagoon ink and added 4 strips of the All is Calm Washi Tape.  Finally, we added the sentiment "merry & bright" from the Good Greetings Stamp Set (your name is entered into a drawing to win this stamp set for every $50 order you place between now and October 31!) and a few Frosted Sequins.

3D Project/Big Shot/Gift Item Class/Club - Thursday, October 23

These are the beautiful fall projects we made at our 3D Project/Big Shot Class the other night.

I just love them all!!

This first project is a perfect gift for a Thanksgiving table setting.....

We start this project with chocolate!!  A perfect way to start any project!!  

Stack up 7 mini Hershey candy bars and wrap a piece of Burlap Ribbon up and around them (fan them out like turkey feathers!).  Staple the pieces together (with our Handheld Stapler) at the top of the stack to hold them in place.

Next, stamp "hope your Thanksgiving is stuffed with Happiness" from the Mingle All the Way Stamp Set in Early Espresso ink (on our new Kraft card stock).  This new Kraft Card Stock is heavier than our regular card stock with natural Kraft coloring.  We punched this piece out with our 2" Circle Punch and mounted it on a 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Early Espresso punched piece.  We also punched a small hole through the stop of our circle piece with our 1/4" Circle Handheld Punch and put a Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon piece through the hole - this piece is tied together with a White & Tangerine Tango Two-Tone Twine bow.

Finally, we stamped our pumpkin in Tangerine Tango ink and our leaves in Old Olive ink - both stamps are from the Fall Fest Stamp Set.  These pieces were die-cut with the coordinating Fun Fall Framelits.  These 2 items are bundled together for a 15% savings on both items.  Then, we added these cute pieces to our "turkey".  I just love this treat, how about you??

And here's a beautiful fall card to share with someone you love this holiday season....

We start this card with a Crushed Curry Card base, then added a (4 x 5 1/4") layer of Cajun Craze card stock, followed by a (3 3/4 x 5") layer of Very Vanilla card stock.  Next, we added a strip of the Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper to the bottom of the card, along with a piece of the Venetian Crochet Trim.

Then, the real fun begins...  we used our Wonderous Wreath Stamp Set and coordinating Wonderful Wreath Framelits dies (bundled together for a 15% savings on both!) to make that gorgeous wreath!!  First, we stamped the full wreath in Crushed Curry ink, then we stamped the additional leaves in Pumpkin Pie ink, then the berries in Cajun Craze ink.  We also stamped the bow in Cajun Craze ink.

Finally, we stamped the "Give Thanks" stamp (from our Holiday Invitation Stamp Set) in Cajun Craze ink and added it to our wreath!

This last project features the new Curvy Keepsake Box - it is so simple and fun to put together!!  Just cut two pieces of Crumb Cake card stock, adhere the bottom pieces together with a strong adhesive like Fast Fuse or Sticky Strip and assemble the box - step-by-step directions are included with the die - you'll love it!!

Next, we cut our Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss, Tangelo Twist card stock and Champagne Glimmer Paper using the Autumn Accents Bigz Die.

We also stamped "Grateful for You" in Blackberry Bliss ink using our Merry Everything Stamp set.  Then, we punched this piece out using the coordinating Note Tag punch.  These two items are bundled together for a 15% savings on both items!!

Finally, we tied a couple of pieces of our twine from the Burlap Ribbon (see this idea here) in a bow and added them to the box.

Group Meeting/Service Project - Tuesday, October 21

These are the fun projects we made last night at our Group Meeting...

This first card is the one we made to donate to the local Commission on Aging here in our area. We've been bundling up a set of 3 cards in a cute package and donating them to local organizations - they use them as prizes at their Bingo games!! 

We start this card with a Crumb Cake card base, then add another (4 x 5 1/4") layer of Crumb Cake card stock - we embossed this piece with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder and then sponged the woodgrain with Crumb Cake ink.

Next, we die-cut our leaves (in Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss, Tangerine Tango card stock and Champagne Glimmer Paper) with the Autumn Accents Bigz Die.  We tied a couple of pieces of our twine from the Burlap Ribbon (see this idea here) in a bow and added them to the leaves.  

Finally, we stamped "Happy Birthday to you!" from the Label Love Stamp Set and punched it out with the coordinating Artisan Label Punch - these 2 items are bundled together for a 15% savings on both.  This piece is mounted on top of a Blackberry Bliss Label Bracket Punch piece and popped up on Dimensionals.

Here's the next card we made last night at our Group Meeting - this was our Make-n-Take for the night!!

I just love this stamp set!!

We start this card with a Very Vanilla card base, then added a (4 x 5 1/4") layer of Cherry Cobbler card stock, followed by another (3 3/4 x 5") layer of Very Vanilla card stock.

We die-cut an Oval using our Ovals Collection Framelits (from another piece of 3 3/4 x 5" card stock) and then used this as a mask to sponge the Crumb Cake ink inside the oval on our card.

Next, we stamped the pine needles (from the Ornamental Pine Stamp Set) in Always Artichoke ink, used our Blender pens to remove any excess ink on the tree branch, then colored those in Early Espresso ink using our Early Espresso marker.  Then, we embossed the ornament (using Versamark Ink, Cherry Cobbler Embossing powder and our Heat Tool)

Finally, we stamped "Christmas Wishes" (also from the Ornamental Pine Stamp Set) in Always Artichoke ink and added a bow using a couple of pieces of twine from our Burlap Ribbon and added it to the card - obviously, I just love this idea!! (I've used it a lot lately, haven't I??)
