Memories in the Making

Here are the cute projects we made at the beginning of our Memory Keepers Class last month....

I fell in love with the specialty cards in the Memories in the Making Project Life Sale-a-Bration kit as soon as I opened the package.....

Read on to learn more....

We start our first card with an Island Indigo card base, then added a layer of Whisper White card stock.

Next, we stamped "It's time to celebrate with cake." (from the Party with Cake Stamp Set) in Island Indigo ink on our Whisper White piece.  Check out all of the fun sentiments in this stamp set below..

Then, we added one of those awesome cards from the Memories in the Making Project Life Specialty Card Collection - it's an acetate card with gold metallic ink printed on it (so fun!!).  Plus, I think it works perfectly with our stamped sentiment.

You can get all 30 specialty cards (including the one above!) to supplement your Project Life card collections FREE with a $50 order during Sale-a-Bration (see pages 8-9 for this kit).  The kit also includes a selection of 15 UV resist cards that are perfect for sponging a bit of color onto, along with a variety of other acetate cards with metallic ink - they are all so much fun to play with!

Finally, we added a couple of small flowers from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack to our card, along with a Pearl in the center of each flower.

Here's a look at the other card we made at class (just in time for Valentine's Day!)....

We start this card with a Rose Red card base, then stamped those cute flowers (in Rose Red ink) from the Bloomin' Love Stamp Set.

Next, we stamped the large floral heart (also from the Bloomin' Love Stamp Set) in Blushing Bride ink on our Blushing Bride card stock piece.  Then, we layered another one of our frosted acetate cards from the Memories in the Making Project Life Card Collection (remember you can get these specialty cards for FREE during Sale-a-Bration with a $50 order) over top of the Blushing Bride stamped piece.  I love how the stamped heart peaks out from behind the frosted acetate heart piece!

Finally, we stamped XOXO and that cute banner (again from the Bloomin' Love Stamp Set) in Rose Red ink and then die-cut the banner using the Large Number Framelits Dies.

For a final finishing touch, we added a couple of Pearls to each end of the banner.

Hello Baby Boy Memory Keepers Class Projects

These are some of the projects we made at a recent Memory Keepers Class....

I love how the cards and accessories in our Project Life kits can be used for Memory Keeping, and then if you have some left over, they can be used to make cute, simple greeting cards, too!!

We made these cards at the beginning of our Memory Keepers Class, then the rest of the time was spent getting caught up on your Memory Keeping.  How great is that!

Here's a look at the first card we made......

We start our card with a So Saffron Card base, then added one of the cards from the Hello Baby Boy Card Collection.  We cut this card down to 4 x 5 1/4" to fit perfectly on our card front.

Next, we stamped "Welcome to the World" (from the Happy Happenings Stamp Set) on one of the 3x4" cards found in the Hello Baby Boy Card Collection and added it to our card with Dimensionals.

Finally, we punched a So Saffron Medium Star and added it to our card, along with a Silver Cording Trim bow.

Here's a look at the next card we made....

This card starts with a Whisper White card base, then we added a layer of Lost Lagoon card stock, followed by one of the 3x4" cards (the polka dot card) from our card kit.

We also stamped "just for you" (from the Watercolor Words Stamp set) on another 3x4" card and then added a So Saffron Candy Dot above the "j" in "joy".

Finally, we added some Mint Macaron Lace Trim to the bottom of the playful animal card, along with that cute bunny sticker found in the Hello Baby Accessory Pack.

And here's a look at the last card we made at class....

This card starts with a Mint Macaron card base.  Then, we added a Whisper White piece embossed with the Happy Hearts Embossing Folder to the top of our card and another 3x4" card from our Hello Baby Boy Card kit to the bottom of our card.

We also added a strip of Whisper White 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon between these two layers.

Finally, we stamped "congrats" (from the Paper Pumpkin Blissful Bouquet Stamp Set) and die-cut it out with our Lots of Labels Framelits.  This piece was layered on top of another Lost Lagoon piece die-cut with the same framelits and then added to the card with Dimensionals.

Hello December 2015 Project Life/Memory Keeping Class Projects

These are the projects we made at the beginning of our Memory Keepers Class last month...

Each month, I prepare a project using the current month's Project Life Card Kit & Accessory Pack.  The attendees at class can make the project or skip right to the fun of putting their own pages together - the choice is theirs each month!!

I just love this page!!  I wanted to show everyone how you can incorporate the cards from the Project Life Card Collection & Accessory Pack into a full 12x12 page spread.  Plus, I love this color combo - Real Red and Lost Lagoon!!

So....  I started with a Real Red base, then added 3 cards from the Hello December 2015 Project Life Card Collection. 

Next, I added a couple of embellishments from the Hello December 2015 Project Life Accessory Pack - the 2 strips of washi tape along the bottom of the page and the Real Red Epoxy Sticker/Dot on the Let's Be Merry card.

Now for the star of the page....  that beautiful pointsettia flower!!

We made this flower using the new Festive Flower Builder Punch.  

Here's a quick video on how to make this flower.... (it explains it so much better than I ever could!).

We used a 1 1/4" Circle  Punch to layer the flower pieces on top of and our Multipurpose Liquid Glue to assemble the flower.

Finally, we added small Pearl to the center of our flower.

And here's a peak at the coordinating page that goes with this 2-page spread.  I used one of the Variety Pack 2 pages - it's a bit smaller than the traditional 12x12 photo pocket pages but works perfectly in a 12x12 album.

It was fun to decide which cards from the Card Collection to showcase on my page, as well as which embellishments to add to the page to give it some texture and dimension. You really can't go wrong, as all of the items in the Card Collection and Accessory Pack coordinate perfectly together!

Moments Like These.....

Here are the 3 projects we made
at the beginning of our Memory Keepers Class last month...

I always love to show alternate uses for the fabulous cards that come in our Project Life Card Kits (that we use at our Memory Keepers Class) - they are great for helping us preserve our memories in our albums, but can also be used to make quick and cute greeting cards, too!

We start this card with a Whisper White Card base, then added one of the cards from our Moments Like These Project Life Card Collection.  I love those Watermelon Wonder and Whisper White stripes on that card!

This card needed to be cut down to fit on our card front - the largest cards in the Project Life kit measure 4x6" - we just cut it down to 4 x 5 1/4"

Next, we added a 3x4" card (Hooray for Today!) to a layer of Basic Black card stock and popped it up on Dimensionals.

Finally, we punch a Silver Foil Star with our new Medium Star Punch, put a strip of Washi Tape (from the Moments Like These Accessory Pack) behind it, and also added a Basic Black Stitched Satin Bow to the card.

Here's a peak at our next card.....

We start this card with a Basic Black card base, then added another card from our Moments Like These Project Life Card Kit (also cut down to 4 x 5 1/4").

Next, we added that gold banner and those gold sequins (found in the Moments Like These Accessory Pack) to the card.


Finally, we cut a square of the Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum and layered one of the small 2x2 cards from the Moments Like These Accessory Pack over it.  I just love that sentiment - we are the dreamers of dreams!

Again, we start with a Whisper White card base, then added another card from our Moments Like These Project Life Card Kit (also cut down to 4 x 5 1/4").

Next, we added the "think happy thoughts" tag from the Moments Like These Accessory Pack.

We also added a Tea Lace Paper Doily (half of it, anyway!) and that cute butterfly - using the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly Punches - along with some more sequins found in the Accessory Pack

Finally, we tied a Mint Macaron Lace Trim Bow around the card!
This ribbon ties beautifully!!
