Card Class - March 16, 2011

These are the cards we made at my class last Wednesday......

This was a great example I found on Split Coast Stampers.  I used the Hostess Set, Birthday Bakery. The sentiment says: This is no day for "just a sliver!"  I loved how the awning turned out - such a great example of a unique way to use the Large Word Window and Scallop Edge Border punches!

I used another Hostess Set, Because I Care, for this card!  What a beautiful hydrangea!  Makes me dream of summer and the beautiful flowers that grow in our yard!

For this card, I used one of the Sale-a-bration sets, Punch Bunch, the Two-Step Owl punch, the branch from the Two-Step Bird punch and the Scallop Square punch!  I thought this would be perfect for a little boy's birthday!

This last card came from another example I found on Split Coast Stampers - I can't get enought of that site!  We used one more Hostess Set, Afterthoughts and the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder.  The real red 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon gives it a final finished touch!

I'm sure you've noticed by now that I provide an envelope with each card me make at class.  I think it's a great touch to have a coordinating envelope with each card!

I hope you enjoyed!

My First Blog!

Below are a sample of the cards I've been working on all winter long (since last fall, in fact!)!  I've made some cards using current products - look at the beautiful ribbons!  I also used some older stamp sets (that may even be retired!) as they had been hiding in my closet and not been used yet!  I wanted to do a local craft show last November and decided to make lots of cards to have on hand for the craft show.  I am also selling these cards at $3 each or 2 cards for $5.  Please contact me at (989) 330-0259 or email me at amy.frillici@yahoo.com if you are interested in purchasing these cards.

I took my inspiration from several sources.  I'd like to give creative credit to Roxann Harrington and Robin Spinner for a number of these cards - they are two amazingly creative ladies that inspired me to get involved with Stampin' Up!  I also got my inspiration from numerous Stampin' Up publications, as well as the ideas posted on Split Coast Stampers.  I even managed to create a few cards myself!  Take a look!

This card says "Happy Birthday"

This card is a money holder!

The inside says "Congratulations on another year of happy togetherness!"

The sentiment says "Sending you a little something wrapped in a whole lot of love!"

The sentiment says "A true friend reaches for your hand and touches your heart."

The inside says "Please know that I care."

The inside says "If wishes could make you well, you'd be better already!"

Wow!  That's all for now!  I hope you enjoyed!
