These is one of the Make-n-Take cards that were featured last month at the Gathering Inkspiration Stamp Studio Sale-a-Bration Celebration.

There were 3 ways to qualify for this event (you could only EARN your way in!):

1 - Host a Sale-a-Bration Private Class (Hostesses earned $25 more for FREE with a min $250 in sales)

2 - Purchase the Starter Kit (and Get 2 FREE Sale-a-Bration choices or an Occasions Catalog Project Kit!) 

3 - Spend at least $150 during the months of Sale-a-Bration (January-March)

We had so much fun at the event....

Snacks & Treats, specials, BOGO,  stamping,

make-n-takes,  gifts,  games (including BINGO!), prizes and  more!

I think everyone felt very spoiled!!  

And the entire event was FREE to attend!!

Ok, so here's the card.....

We start our card with a Night of Navy Card base, then add a layer of Baked Brown Sugar card stock, followed by a layer of Very Vanilla card stock.  We rounded the corners of our card stock with the Project Life Corner Rounder Punch.

Then, we start stamping....

-the border (that the bird is standing on) and the water splotches in Crumb Cake ink

-the bird in Night of Navy ink

-the leaves and sentiment in Black Memento ink

 We also used our Aquapainter to fill in the leaves with Old Olive ink.  Just fill the resevoir of the Aquapainter with alcohol or water, then draw up some of the Old Olive ink from the inside of the stamp pad (by squeezing the ink pad together before you open it).

Next, we added a strip of Burlap Ribbon that was die-cut with the Large Scallop Edgelit (this item can be found on the retiring list) and attached our sentiment (and the burlap ribbon) to the card with Glue Dots.

Finally, we added Very Vintage Button tied with a Linen Thread bow.

Birthday Bash... Mini Treat Bags

These are the cute treat bags that we made for everyone that attended our One Day Retreat and Fundraiser to benefit St. Mary School and Nativity of the Lord Parish last month!!

Each person that attended the One Day Retreat received a package of the Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper, along with the coordinating Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim and the Gold Basic Metal Buttons.

I slipped the package of Gold Basic Metal Buttons into each of these cute, little treat bags - 

they fit perfectly!!

The treat bags were made using our new Mini Treat Bags Thinlits Dies.  I put the treat bags together with our Fast Fuse Adhesive - it's the perfect strength adhesive for a project like this!  It's considerably stronger than our Snail Adhesive, so it's great for 3D projects like this.

I stamped "for you" (in Bermuda Bay ink) from the Hello There Hostess Stamp Set and punched this piece out with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch, then stamped it again and punched this piece out with the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch.  The "for you" is popped up on Dimensionals to give it some depth.

This circle piece is layered on top of a Crushed Curry Banner die-cut with our Banner Framelits.

Unfortunately, the Calypso Coral PomPon Trim is no longer available, so I won't go on about how cute it is!  This is what Stampin' Up! posted to our demo sight the other day:

"Due to issues with the material supplier (they have not been able to provide the manufacturer with the needed materials), combined with the ongoing west coast port congestion issues, the Calypso Coral Pompom Trim from the 2015 occasions catalog (p. 12; item 137898) will not be available before the catalog sales period ends. Unfortunately, this means that this product will no longer be available for purchase."

I bet they'll come up with something just as cute down the road, so don't worry!!

These cute treats were made with the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die and the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper.  This die is so simple to use - just cut 2 pieces with the die, then layer one over top of the other and adhere with Fast Fuse Adhesive.  Curl the sides in and overlap them - there is a little tab that holds the sides together.  The neat part about this box is that you can open and close it without ruining your cute treat box!

Amazing Birthday

Ok, on to the card....

We start our card with a Crisp Cantalope card base, then added a layer of the Lullaby Designer Series Paper.  All of the Designer Series Paper from the Annual Catalog is retiring this spring - check out the retiring list now, as all retiring accessories (including DSP) are available only while supplies last!!

Next, we added a strip of the Lullaby DSP (with those cute hearts!) and flagged the end with our Paper Snips.

We also stamped the striped banner from the Amazing Birthday Stamp Set (in Baked Brown Sugar ink) and die-cut it with our Banner Framelits.

Then, we tied a Gold Baker's Twine bow around the card.

Finally, we stamped that cute birthday cake, which is also from the Amazing Birthday Stamp set, in Calypso Coral ink and punched it out with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch.  This piece is layered on top of a Baked Brown Sugar circle punched with the 1 3/8" Circle punch.  Then, we punched a Hello Honey 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch and added the cake piece on top of it!

Birthday Bash... Tiny Treat Boxes

These are some of the table treats we gave to each participant at our
One Day Crafting Retreat earlier this month.....

I had so much fun putting these cute little boxes together for everyone!!

They had received the Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper and Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim in their Goody Bags, so I wanted to make sure to show everyone how fun and easy it is to make cute treats with their goody bag items!!

I stamped the initial of each person that attended the One Day Retreat with the Epic Alphabet in Bermuda Bay ink, then punched this piece out with our 1 1/4" Circle Punch. 

Next, I layered the "monogrammed initial" circle on top of a Night of Navy 1 3/8" Circle Punch, followed by a Bermuda Bay 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch.

I also tucked a little strip of the Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim under the circle piece.  I've had so much fun playing with this sequin trim - I even told someone that they might find the rest of my sequin trim draped around my house!  It just adds a bit of sparkle wherever you need it!!

Finally, I cut a 1 3/4" strip of the Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper and adhered it around the Tiny Treat Box with our Fast Fuse Adhesive.

I have finally learned how to use this adhesive!!  The trick is to definitely take it slow, and....  Make sure there is no adhesive on the case itself, or the adhesive won't advance properly.
