Big Shot/3-D Item Stamping Class - March 28, 2012

Here are pictures of the projects we made last night at the Big Shot/3-D Item Stamping Club!

This first project is a Chipboard Accordian-style photo album - isn't it cute??
We used the Spring Fever Simply Scrappin kit and the Scallop Squares Duo Bigz Die with the Big Shot - what fun!  Do you recognize the pretty Designer Series Paper??

We used it in the Spring Fever Mini Scrapbook Album, too - I have still have a few spots open for my next Mini Scrapbook Class on April 21 - please let me know if you'd like to make the Spring Fever album (or one of the other two I have available)!

Here is the front of the accordian-style photo album....

This will be the perfect accordian album to put wallet pics of my kids in!

This is one side of the album......

And this is the other side of the album.....

You can tie it together and keep it in your purse as a cute little brag book :).  Love it!!

This next project is a gift card holder and 3 coordinating gift cards.

We made the holder with the new Labels Collection Framelit Die (the largest die) (these dies are available in the Occasions Mini catalog) and the Big Shot.  We scored the bottom of each at 1" and then held them together with sticky strip.  We wrapped a piece of 3/8" Baja Breeze Pleated Satin Ribbon around the front and stamped (with the Mixed Bunch stamp set from the Occasions Mini) and punched the flowers with the Blossom Punch (also found in the Occasions Mini).  Finally, we added a Twitterpated Designer button from the Occasions Mini and tied a Linen thread bow through the button - love this one, too!

Here's a pic of three cards in the Medium Cello bag on the inside of the holder.  We held them all together with Very Vanilla satin ribbon!

As always, I hope you enjoyed these projects! Please let me know if you'd like to join us at this fun class!  We meet the last Wednesday of every month - our next class will be Wednesday, April 25 at 7pm.  Just call (989) 330-0259 or email me at amy.frillici@yahoo.com to sign up!

Makes a great gift!  We'll be stamping and decorating this awesome birthday calendar/list on April 11 at 6pm (prior to the All-Occasion Card Class that night).  There is time to participate in both classes!  Just let me know if you'd like to join us. If you're not able to attend on April 11, alternate dates are available!

Scrapbook Class - March 15, 2012

Here are the pages we'll be making this week on Thursday, March 15 at Scrapbook Class.  I hope you can join us!  Just email me at amy.frillici@yahoo.com or call me at (989) 330-0259
to RSVP by March 13!

The first two pages are made using the "Snow Much Fun" stamp set featured in the 2011-12 Idea Book & Catalog - I just loved the snowmen and had to use them one more time before spring arrives!  We start with a Whisper White base and add a sheet of Pacific Point Card stock.  Then we added a few snowflakes (punched with the Snowflake punch, of course) in Pool Party card stock.

This first page also features a strip of the Twitterpated Designer Series paper from the Occasions Mini catalog.  I thought the design looked like snowflakes!  We also added a strip of Pool Party card stock (punched with the Eyelet Border punch) to look like snow along the bottom of the page!

Here's that first cute snowman!
We stamped him in Black Staz-on Ink, then colored him in with Pacific Point,
Pool Party and Pumpkin Pie markers.

The sentiment at the top of this page reads "snowbody likes you as much as me"!

Here's the other snowman - stamped and colored like the one above.  We also added a Pool Party background embossed with the Snowburst Embossing folder.

This last page gets us ready for Spring!  It features a Wild Wasabi base with a strip of Beyond the Garden Designer Series Paper.  We added a Pacific Point edging to this DSP using the Scallop Border Punch!  We also punched three flowers using the Fancy Flower punch and added a circle (punched with the 1/2" circle punch) of another paper/design from the Beyond the Garden DSP.  I love this beautiful spring-time Designer Series Paper!

We also stamped and embossed a few sentiments from the Loving Thoughts stamp set (available in the Occasions Mini until April 30!).  I LOVE all of the sentiments in this stamp set - and... they are perfect for creating whimsical scrapbook pages!

I hope you enjoyed these pages!  Please let me know if you'd like to join us at class this week!

on Wednesday, March 14 at 7pm!
Please let me know if you'd like to join us!  Just email me
at amy.frillici@yahoo.com or call me at (989) 330-0259.
I'd love to have you join us this month!

This first card features a Pool Party base (a beautiful spring color from the 2011-13 In Colors!) and a layer of the Sale-a-bration Designer Series paper, Everyday Enchantment.  You, too, can have this gorgeous Designer Series paper - FREE - this month with a $50 order!  Just call or email me for more details!  I also used the Triple Treat flower stamp (another FREE choice with a $50 order this month) in three different colors (Pool Party punched with the Fancy Flower punch, Lucky Limeade punched with the 5-Petal Flower punch and Soft Suede punched with the 1/2" Circle punch).  I added a Basic Pearl to the center of the flower.  The sentiment, Kindness Matters, is from the Kindness Matters stamp set - yet another FREE choice with a $50 order thru March 31!  The sentiment is stamped on a Very Vanilla Large Oval punched piece and layered on a Lucky Limeade Scallop Oval punched piece.  The final touch is a strip of Pool Party card stock with 2 more Basic Pearls - can't get enough of those pearls! - and at $4.95 for 150 of them, you can't go wrong!

This next card brightens things up for spring!  It features a Whisper White card base, a layer of Concord Crush In Color card stock (which will be retired on May 31 - if you like this color, make sure to order it before then!), followed by a layer of Melon Mambo card stock embossed with the Square Lattice embossing folder and the Big Shot!  The flower and sentiment are stamped in Concord Crush Classic Ink and are from the Sprinkled Expressions Stamp set - another FREE stamp set with a $50 order thru March 31!  I tied a bow with the Concord Crush 1/2" Polystitch ribbon for some added fun - this ribbon will also retire on May 31! - I am soooo going to miss these In Color ribbons - they are gorgeous and so fun to play with!

This next card is what we call "Clean and Simple".  It features a Whisper White card base, a layer of Island Indigo card stock and another layer of Whisper White card stock.  The sentiment "Wonderful You" is stamped in Island Indigo and is from the Loving Thoughts stamp set in the Occasions Mini catalog.  This stamp set is perfect for Cards or for Scrapbook pages!  We punched three butterflies from the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper (also found in the Occasions Mini) with the Butterfly punch.  Another fun touch..... the Large Pearl Basic Jewels (from the Occasions Mini) are the "body" of each butterfly.  Don't forget that the items in the Occasions Mini are only available until April 30th!  Finally, I tied a ribbon around the card with the Island Indigo 3/8" Ruffled ribbon - love this ribbon, too!

The last card for this month has a Soft Suede card base and another layer of the Sale-a-bration Designer Series paper, Everyday Enchantment.  You can also get this beautiful Designer Series paper (along with the Fresh Vintage Stamp set and Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad pack) if you hold a qualifying workshop before March 31 - just ask me how today!!  We stamped the flowers and bird with the Language of Friendship stamp set (another FREE stamp set from the Sale-a-bration catalog with a $50 order this month) on Calypso Coral and Soft Suede card stock and then punched them out with the Boho Blossoms and Bird Builder punches.  These pieces are layered on a Very Vanilla square and a Soft Suede scalloped square made with the Scalloped Squares Duo Bigz die and the Big Shot.  The final touches are the Basic Pearls and the Very Vanilla seam-binding ribbon!  What a beautiful card - perfect for a good friend's birthday or just to say "Hello"!

I hope you enjoyed these cards this month!  Don't forget that this All-Occasion Card Class (make 4 cards for $12 or receive your cards for FREE with a minimum $25 Stampin' Up order) meets the second Wednesday of every month at 7pm.  Just call me at (989) 330-0259 or email me at amy.frillici@yahoo.com if you'd like to join us at class anytime!
