Big Shot/3-D Item Stamping Class - February 29, 2012

Here are pictures of the projects we'll be making this week on Wednesday, February 29th at our 3D Project/Big Shot class.  These projects feature the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper and few of the stamp sets you can get for FREE with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration!  Just email me at amy.frillici@yahoo.com if you'd like to join us!

This first card is made with a Riding Hood Red card base and a layer of Island Indigo (one of my favorite colors right now!).  The top Whisper White layer is embossed with the Square Lattice embossing folder, and the bottom layer is one of the designs found on the Twitterpated Designer Series paper (found in the Occasions Mini).  I thought this was a fun, bright card - the type we need to brighten up these long winter days!!  The "thanks" sentiment is from the Outlined Occasions stamp set (FREE with any $50 order during Sale-a-bration!).  We finish the card off with a Riding Hood Red 3/8" Taffeta ribbon, and one of the flowers from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and a Basic Rhinestone for some sparkle!

I've been wanting to make a project with this cute Box #2 die with the Big Shot for a while now!  This is what I came up with....  I used the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper for the box and wrapped it with a strip of the Twitterpated Designer Fabric.  Don't they coordinate so well?  That's the idea behind the suites of products that Stampin' Up comes up with (in this case, the Twitterpated Suite of products) - you can create beautifully coordinated projects in no time!  I added a button from the
Brights Collection Designer Buttons (free with a $50 order thru March 31!)
and added a little Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine (new in the Occasions Mini).  We made some "confetti" to go inside the box with 1/4 strips of Island Indigo card stock that we ran thru the Crimper to give them that texture!  What fun!  And a perfect gift box for Easter or Mother's Day!

I thought we had to have a cute 3x3 card to go along with our cute gift box!  We start with a Whisper White card, add a layer of Island Indigo and then another layer of Whisper White.  We stamped "Happy Birthday" from the Elementary Elegance stamp set (free with a $50 order thru March 31), punched it out with the Curly Label punch and popped it up on dimensionals.  The flourish border is stamped in coordinating Island Indigo ink.  We stamped the little crown (also found in the Elementary Elegance stamp set) in Pear Pizzaz and added a basic Rhinestone to the crown!  And...  the Mini Square Envelopes that Stampin' Up sells work perfectly with these little cards!
How cute is that??

As always, I hope you enjoyed these projects!  I can't wait to share them with you at class this week on Wednesday!  Hope to see you then!

Sale-a-bration Card Ideas

I attended a Sale-a-bration Event over the weekend hosted by my upline, Ronda Wade. She asked a few of us to put a display table together and demonstrate a few of our techniques for our group... So, this is what I brought to share with everyone on Saturday... All of these cards feature the Sale-a-bration Hostess Bundle of products: Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper, Fresh Vintage Stamp Set and Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad pack. As I mentioned at the event, I'm really good at CASEing great ideas from others... There are so many amazingly talented women out there, and I just love their ideas - so I think it's fun to bring their ideas to Michigan and share them with you! Most of these cards were found on Dawn Olchefske's blog: dostamping.typepad.com (she also demonstrated a lot of these cards at Stampin' Up's Leadership Convention in San Antonio in January). A few cards were also found on Mary Fish's blog: stampinpretty.com. I hope you enjoy these card ideas....

Scrapbook Class - February 16, 2012

Here are the 3 scrapbook pages we'll be making at Scrapbook Class
this week on Thursday, February 16.

Please call me at (989) 330-0259 or email me at amy.frillici@yahoo.com if you'd like to come to class this month.

These first two pages feature a Riding Hood Red cardstock base
for our Valentine-inspired theme this month.

I embellished the first page with the Serif Essentials Alphabet Bigz Die with the Big Shot (the "LOVE" letters). We also used the Twitterpated Designer Fabric (isn't it beautiful?) and the P.S. I Love You stamp set (both found in the Occasions Mini). The top of the fabric strip is finished off with the Baja Breeze 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon, and the stamped heart image is complemented by the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit Die with the Big Shot.

The second page features the new Hearts Collection Framelits Die with the Big Shot - in this case, it's made to look like a balloon with a tail made from Red Baker's Twine and hearts punched from the Small Heart punch.  The two scalloped images in the bottom left corner of this page are made from the P.S. I Love You stamp set (again!! - I could not get enough of this stamp set this Valentine season!)
and the 1 3/4" Scallop Cirle, 1 3/8" Circle and 1" Circle punches.

There's that awesome Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit Die with the Big Shot (in Riding Hood Red) again - I will never tire of that cute die!

This last page features a Rich Razzleberry cardstock base and the new Labels Collection Framelits Die.  I layered Whisper White cardstock, then Pocketful of Posies Designer Series Paper in the framelit shape.  Then, we added a strip of the new 3/8" Pleated Satin ribbon (another favorite of mine right now!) in Pear Pizzaz.  The flowers are made from the Blossom punch (also found in the Occasions Mini) - then we cut the petals of each flower two times (and layered two flowers together) - I learned this technique at Leadership this year when we did our Make-n-Takes!  The flowers get a final touch from the Blossom Builders Designer Printed kit (found, again!, in the Occasions Mini).  This kit allows you to make beautiful flower embellishments with printed, die-cut flowers on textured paper and pink rhinestones - what fun!  This kit was another gift we received while at the Leadership Convention last month - I couldn't wait to come home and share it with all of you!

Well, I hope you enjoyed!!  These pages will be so much fun to make this month!!

Card Class - February 8, 2012

Here are the cards we'll be making this week in Class on Wednesday, February 8 at 7pm.
Just email me at amy.frillici@yahoo.com or call me at (989) 330-0259
if you'd like to attend class and make these beautiful cards!

This first card features the new Twitterpated Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini, as well as the Mixed Bunch Stamp set and coordinating Blossom Punch.  I received the Mixed Bunch stamp set at Stampin' Up's Leadership Convention last month - this is one of those sets that I fell in love with as soon as I saw it in the new Mini catalog, so I was thrilled to receive it for FREE at Leadership this year :).  We added a strip of the Riding Hood Red Pleated Satin ribbon (which can also be found in the Occasions Mini) behind the flower and finished the flower off with one of the 2010-2012 In Color Glimmer Brads - what fun!  The "Thanks" stamp is from the Thank You Kindly Stamp set in the Idea Book & Catalog.  We used a Basic Gray marker to ink only the "Thanks" portion of the stamp.

This next card is a CASE from the Occasions Mini.  It also features the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper and a Baja Breeze card base.  We embossed the heart (using clear Stampin' Emboss powder) from the P.S. I Love You stamp set (from, you guessed it, the Occasions Mini!).  The sentiment, "i love the "u" in us", is also from this stamp set.  This stamp set features 15 great Valentine stamps - it was a must-have this year!  I've used it in so many card and projects this winter - I love it!  We used more of the 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon - this time in Blushing Bride.  I loved the way it "curved" on the card front!  Finally, we added a couple more hearts using the Fashionable Hearts Embosslits Die with the Big Shot and a Basic Rhinestone Jewel.

I was thrilled to use the new (again, I know! - they had soooooo many cool new products in the Occasions Mini!) Hearts Collection Framelits Die with the Big Shot - we made the largest heart (without the scalloped edge) in Basic Black and the next largest heart with the First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I also punched a small Cherry Cobbler heart with the Heart to Heart punch and added a few Basic Pearls to it.  The Cherry Cobbler layer is embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with the Big Shot.  We stamped "Happiness" on the card and "Forever and Always" on the inside of the card using the Loving Thoughts Stamp set (another set from the Occasions Mini that we received at Leadership last month)!  For a final touch, we added a strip of Very Vanilla 5/8" Satin Ribbon - such an elegant ribbon!

This last card features the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper and Brads.  You can get either the Paper or Ribbon & Brad Pack for FREE right now with a $50 order.  Just email me today at amy.frillici@yahoo.com to get your free Sale-a-bration products, too!  We punched the DSP with the Postage Stamp punch, adhered it to a square of Very Vanilla card stock, then ran it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  We also stamped "Hello" in Pear Pizzaz using the Elementary Elegance stamp set from the Sale-a-bration Catalog (another stamp set you can get for FREE with a $50 order!) and punched it with the Curly Label punch. We added a few butterflies from the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die.  Finally, we added a "bow" with the Pool Party Seam Binding ribbon - one more new product in the Occasions Mini - and the Everyday Enchantment brad (in addition to the Brad pack, you also get two bolts of 1/8" Organdy Ribbon is Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade with this Sale-a-bration pick!).

As always, I hoped you enjoyed these cards this month!!  I have lots more new ideas for next month as well.  If you can't join us this month, please feel free to join us at my next Card-Making Class on Wednesday, March 14 at 7pm.  This class meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month!  Just email me at amy.frillici@yahoo.com or call me at (989) 330-0259 for additional details!  Hope to see you soon!
