Happy Birthday.... Tin of Cards

I love the bold statement this card makes...  I think it's the black accents that really make it pop!  Read on to learn all about this card.....

We start our card with a Basic Black card base, then added a layer of Very Vanilla Card Stock, followed by a layer of Pacific Point Card Stock embossed with the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder.  I just love the cute dots and circles that this embossing folder makes!

Elegant Dots Embossing Folder  138287  $7.50

Next, we die-cut lots of circles using our Circles Framelits - from Basic Black Card Stock and the new Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack.  There are so many cute patterns in this DSP stack!!

Circles Framelits  130911  $27.00

Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack  138442  $8.00

We also stamped "happy birthday" from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (this set is not just for the Tin of Cards kit, although that looks like a pretty awesome kit, too!).  It's a super-versatile set with lots of great sentiments!!

And...  we added a strip of Basic Black Card Stock to the card (this is a simple embellishment that almost looks like ribbon!)

Tin of Cards Stamp Set  138946  $17.00

Stampin' Up! Convention 2015

I just got back from the Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah!!
We had so much fun!!

I can't wait to share everything I learned at convention with you at classes this month!!

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy these pictures from Convention.....

Stampin' Up! always creates beautiful banners to welcome us!!

Here's a peak at some of the crowd just before they opened the doors
on the first morning of convention.

I always love the displays that Stampin' Up! creates - these were huge billboard-sized displays above the convention Main Stage entrances.

Here we are...  all ready for the 1st day of Convention to begin (with Stacie, Heather and Melissa, my roommates and fellow demonstrators)

These are pictures of the Main Stage before Convention began....

How about those awesome, larger-than-life flowers??

Here we are before the Awards Night began.
Stampin' Up! always creates fun photo-ops for us.....

One final picture of the stage and lots of fellow demonstrators waiting for the final day of Convention to begin - it always goes by so fast!!

I'll tell you a little secret...  Want to know my favorite part about Convention??   We got our copy of the Holiday Catalog!!!! - we spent the first day at lunch perusing every page in detail!!  I can't wait for you to see it!!  (unfortunately, Stampin' Up "rules" say we can't share pics of any of the Holiday Catalog product until it goes live....).  But, I can assure you... there are, as always!, so many fun, new things to play with!!  The Holiday Catalog goes live on September 1 - it will be here before you know it!!

I'll leave you with a great video that Stampin' Up! created with highlights from Convention....  I even made the video (at about the 2 minute mark!), along with fellow Rubberqueens/Achievers, Melissa Roberts and Kim Vogel.  And, just an FYI, the awards night was a 1920s theme - that might help explain all of the flapper dresses, headbands, and long strands of pearls!

I hope you have an Inkspired day!!

All About Sugar...... Treats!!

Here's a peak at the treats that everyone received at my Stampin' Bingo Night last week....

I had so much fun putting these treats together!!  And...  I love how the licorice inside the cello bags coordinates perfectly with the Cherry Cobbler circle accent!!

Here's a closer look at the treat.....

I die-cut the Bermuda Bay treats using the Fry Box Die, then stamped the front of each Fry Box with the stripe stamp in the All About Sugar Stamp Set.  For fun, I also stamped the inside of each Fry Box with the spiky circle stamp (also in the All About Sugar Stamp Set) in Bermuda Bay ink.

Next, I stamped the spiky circle stamp in Cherry Cobbler ink (on Cherry Cobbler card stock) and punched it out with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch.

Finally, I stamped the "Sweet Treats" stamp in Crushed Curry ink (on Whisper White card stock) and fussy-cut it out with my Paper Snips.  I also added a Rhinestone to each side of the Sweet Treats tag.

Then, for the best part.....,

I added some licorice bites to a 4x6 cello bag and tied the bag with some Whisper White 1/4" Cotton Ribbon.

Fry Box Bigz L Die  132966  $33.00

All About Sugar Photopolymer Stamp Set  138684  $17.00

You can buy the stamp set and big shot die separately (as seen above), or....

you can buy them in a bundle and save 15%!!

1 1/4" Circle Punch  119861  $16.00
