3D Project/Big Shot Class/Club - Wednesday, March 27

Here are the projects we made at the 3D Project/Big Shot class this week!!  We featured the Fan Fair Designer Series Paper this month - the pages have a great travel theme - perfect for capturing memories from your next Spring Break trip!!  You could keep this travel journal/photo book for yourself or give it to a friend along with one of these fabulous coordinating cards!!

Fan Fair Designer Series Paper
Fan Fair Designer Series Paper 126918  $10.95
For our first project (CASEd from Anne Farrar on Stampin' Connection), we stamped the bike and flower image in Island Indigo, then added a few strips of Fan Fair DSP - these 2 products coordinate so well together!!  We actually received both of these products (the Postage Due stamp set and Fan Fair DSP) as a pillow gift while on our Getaway Weekend Incentive trip to Hilton Head Island last September!  It was such a fun surprise to find these items on our pillow that night :).
We also stamped the 2 cent stamp in More Mustard, then punched it with the Postage Stamp Punch.  Finally, we mounted that on an Island Indigo 1 1/4" square punch and added some linen thread.  This card just looks like summer!!  Here, in Michigan, we are just experiencing our first days of spring - but summer will be on it's way very shortly!!

Postage Due Stamp Set  clear-mount  126397  $16.95
Here's the fun travel journal/photo holder I mentioned earlier!  We used some of the thick cardboard pieces you receive with various embellishments as our base, then attached some of the Fan Fair DSP with the Tombow adhesive to the front and back covers.  We made a fun flower with the 1 1/4" scallop circle punch and LOTS of hot glue and scallop circles - I saw this idea for the flower in an issue of Stampin' Connection last year - you use the Silicone Craft Sheet to assemble the flower - the hot glue stays perfectly in place on the silicone sheet (without burning your fingers!) and then gives you both hands to work with (rather than having to hold the flower in place with one hand!).  Then we added a Naturals Designer Button and some linen thread!

Naturals Designer Buttons

We embellished the inside with various pieces of the printed Fan Fair Designer Series Paper, splattered some pages with ink and the Color Spritzer Tool, and added a few punched images from the Postage Due Stamp set.

We also included some Crumb Cake envelopes inside the journal to hold additional photos, journaling and trip memorabilia!

Crumb Cake Envelopes  107297  $6.50
Finally, we tied some 5/8" Crochet Trim around the back cover and added some more pieces of the printed Fan Fair Designer Series Paper - everyone just chose their favorite pieces, cut them out and added them wherever the liked!  We each ended up with a unique travel journal/photo book for our next trip!

I was enjoying this stamp set so much I couldn't stop at just one card...
We also made this fun birthday card (CASEd from Wendie Waldman on Stampin' Connection) - perfect for that summer birthday!!  This time we added a strip of Island Indigo card stock embossed with the Argyle Embossing folder.  We also stamped "happy birthday" with the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp set and die-cut it with the Bitty Banner Framelits and added two 1/8" Mini Brads to complete the card!
