Card Class - Wednesday, August 8

Here are the cards we'll be making this week on Wednesday, August 8 at our All-Occasion Card Making Class.  Class starts at 7pm.  Please let me know if you'd like to join us!  Just email me at amy.frillici@yahoo.com or call (989) 330-0259 to RSVP today!!
This first card is a CASE from Mary Fish.  I saw this card on her blog, Stampin Pretty, a while ago and knew I wanted to make it!  Well, I just finally purchased the stamp set,
Embellished Events, and got right to it!!

We start with a clean Whisper White card base, add a layer of Floral District Designer Series paper, which then sets the tone and color scheme for the rest of the card - Tangerine Tango and Lucky Limeade, of course!  I just love how our DSPs suggest
such great color combination ideas!

Plus, this stamp set is super-cute, don't you think??
You'll be seeing a lot more of it in the near future, I'm sure!!

This next project isn't actually a card, right??  I know....  But I thought it was such a fun idea and wanted to share it at my next class.

For this project, we start with the Petite Purse Bigz Die with the Big Shot.  We trimmed off the top closure of the purse so that you'd get a glimpse of the candy inside.

The flower is punched with the Boho Blossom punch using the Summer Smooches DSP.  Then we tied a bow using Daffodil Delight seam-binding ribbon around the strap of the purse and added the sentiment "sweat treets" from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set.  I know you can't really see this, but, trust me, it's there!  This sentiment is cut out and fits perfectly on the new Bitty Banner Framelits Die with the Big Shot (the curly one).

Well, I've had my Simpy Scored Scoring Tool and the Diagonal Plate for a while now and have seen LOTS of others make cute coordinating cards and envelopes.
I knew I had to give it a try!!

This card is another CASE from Mary Fish (I just can't stop, I know!! - but...... why reinvent the stamping "wheel" when she has so many awesome ideas, right??)!   This card is a smaller version of Mary's, at only 3x3 - perfect as a gift enclosure card. We feature the Polka Dot Parade and Floral District Designer Series Papers, then add a heart and circle that are paper-pierced around the inside of the images with the new Paper Piercing Tool, Paper Piercing Mat and Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack.  I love how the designs coordinate perfectly with so many framelits and punches.  See for yourself....

Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack  126187  $7.95

This is such a fun, simple way to add an accent to any project!!

This last card features a card layout I really like....

It starts with a Rose Red base layer, then a layer of Not Quite Navy, then the actual card itself is the -River Rock top layer.  We featured the Raining Flowers Two-Step Stamp set (a perfect summer stamp set) on this thank you card!

Raining Flowers  clear-mount  122767  $28.95

The Large Scallop Edgelit die with the Big Shot adds a little interest to the bottom of the card, and the Color Spritzer Tool adds those little splashes of color (in Rose Red)
on the card face itself.

Color Spritzer Tool - by Stampin' Up!

You just put a marker into the bottom of the Color Spritzer Tool show above, then squeeze and release the bulb to spritz the color from the marker onto the page.  What fun!!
I hope you've enjoyed these cards this month!  Please let me know if you'd like to join us at class on Wednesday, August 8 at 7pm.
I'd love to show you how to create these great projects!!

See you soon!
