Here are the fun projects we made at class this week.... I haven't gotten enough of Valentine's Day yet,
so here are a couple of fun treat/gift choices for you.....
This is a great little Hershey Chocolate Nugget holder (courtesy of Kelly Agee)....
This cute treat holder is made with a 2" x 7 1/2" strip of Coastal Cabana card stock. I scored it at 3 1/4" on each end and then punched the ends with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. Next, we added a 1/2" strip from the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper stack to the bottom of the treat. We also stamped the flag, scalloped heart and small white heart from the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and die-cut them with the coordinating Hearts a Flutter framelits. Finally, we punched a large heart with the Full Heart Punch and then added those cute dots with the new Decorative Dots Impression folder (this is a FREE Sale-a-bration item you can get with any $50 order!).

This next treat is what I call now "an oldie, but a goodie"!
This Petite Purse Bigz Die was all the rage a few years ago, and I thought it would be fun to bring it out and play with it again for Valentine's Day!! Of course, we used Real Red card stock for the purse and then stamped the coordinating Real Red hearts with the Hearts a Flutter Stamp Set.

We also punched 3 scallop circles (using the 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch and the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punches) from the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper, crinkled them up to give them some texture and then put a mini brad through the middle of them to hold them in place. Finally, we added two mini brads on either side of the "purse straps' to hold those in place as well!

Here are a couple of Valentine's Day ideas that don't involve candy (if you are so inclined!)....
I'd probably go with candy AND a book mark!!
We punched the top of both book marks with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch - you could use the Angled Tag Topper punch as an alternative for a more basic or masculine look.
Next, we stamped "Love You to the moon and back" from the Love You to the Moon Stamp Set, added a small strip of Coastal Cabana embossed with the Scallops Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and a flagged strip of the Polka Dot Pattern from the Fresh Prints DSP Stack to the bottom of the book mark. Finally, we punched a cute, little flower with the Petite Petals Punch and added a sparkly, real red Brights Glimmer Brad to the center of the flower.

This second book mark was made using the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack (the polka dot pattern in Bermuda Bay specifically!). We stamped "Love You" in Black Stazon ink from the Love You to the Moon Stamp Set, and then those cute hearts flags (stamped in Melon Mambo) are from the Language of Love Stamp Set. We also added a Brights Candy Dot to the little heart on the flag and then some fun fringe along the bottom of the book mark with the new Fringe Scissors. What fun!!
