Embellished Ornaments

Ooooooh, I just love this card!!

I received it during a swap I did earlier this fall and knew we'd make it at class sometime...

And we did!!....  at the All-Occasion Card Class last month!

Thank you so much to Zahra Premji for her inspiration on this card - everyone loved it at class, too!!

We start our card with a Mint Macaron card base.  I think that's one of the reasons I like this card so much - Mint Macaron is not a traditional holiday color, but it works so well with the Very Vanilla and Gold Accents!  What a great color combination!

Next, we added a Very Vanilla piece embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder and then a strip of the gorgeous Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum (love those gold accents!).

Next, we die-cut our Gold Ornament using the Delicate Ornament Thinlits and our new Precision Base Plate.  I have to admit, when I first saw the Precision Base Plate, I wasn't sure I needed it....  but, after trying to die-cut this detailed ornament using the Magnetic Platform, I'm sold!  The cuts were so much better with the Precision Base Plate, and the pieces came out easily with the help of my Paper Piercing Tool.

We layered this gold ornament over another Very Vanilla ornament die-cut with the Delicate Ornament Thinlits.  Then, we adhered the Gold ornament to the Very Vanilla ornament using our Fine Tip Glue Pen.

We also stamped our other ornament in Mint Macaron ink (using one of the ornament stamps from the Embellished Ornaments stamp set) and die-cut it with the Delicate Ornament Thinlits.  These 2 items are also bundled together for a 15% saving so both items.

Finally, we added a Gold Ribbon to the top of our Mint Macaron ornament and stamped "Thinking of you at Christmas" (also from the Embellished Ornaments Stamp Set).  The end of this piece was flagged with the Banner Triple Punch.
