'Tis the Season... Oh, What Fun

The poinsettias on this paper are just gorgeous!!!

I received this card as a swap from Gail Yanker earlier this year and knew we'd have to make it at class sometime!  We actually made it last month at our final Christmas Stamp-a-Stack class!!

We start our card with a Cherry Cobbler card base, then added the following layers of card stock:  Soft Suede, Basic Black, then that gorgeous poinsettia paper from the Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper (DSP).   You can see all of the patterns in this DSP below.  This is one of my favorite packs of DSP in the Holiday catalog!

Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper  139590  $9.35

Next, we stamped "Tis the Season" (from the Oh, What Fun Stamp Set) in Versamark ink and embossed it with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder and our Heat Tool.

Oh, What Fun Photopolymer Stamp Set  140386  $21.00

Versamark Ink Pad  102283  $7.50

Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder  109129  $5.00

Heat Tool  129053  $30.00

This sentiment was punched out with our 1 3/4" Circle Punch and layered on top of a 2" Circle punched from Soft Suede card stock.

Finally, we added some Gold Cording Trim to our card, then layered these circle pieces over top.  I found it's easiest to add some adhesive to the card and then loop and tack the gold trim to the card in circles.  Any "mess" underneath is hidden by our sentiment!

1 3/4" Circle Punch  119850  $18.00
2" Circle Punch  133782  $18.00

Gold Cording Trim  139618  $5.00

I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I do!
