Friendly Hello Island Vibes Card

 

Hi Friends!

Here's a swap card I made a few weeks ago for a Sale-a-Bration swap I participated in.  I wanted to make something fun and bright to help me remember summer on these very cold, winter days!!

I started my card with a Daffodil Delight card base, then added a layer of Granny Apple Green card stock, followed by a layer of the Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper (DSP).

The Friendly Hello DSP comes with the Friendly Hello Stamp Set - you can get both of these items for FREE with a $100 order during Sale-a-Bration!  These are some of my favorite products in the Sale-a-Bration offering this year!!  The DSP is just gorgeous - there isn't a pattern I don't LOVE!! - and the stamp set is awesome, too!!  It's one of those sets that you can "make your own DSP" with just by stamping :).  You can get the idea of what I mean by that in this blog post here.

Next, I tied a White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon bow around the card.  The whispy texture to this ribbon worked perfectly on this card.

Next, I stamped "Hello friend" in Granny Apple Green ink on Basic White card stock, die-cut the sentiment with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and added it to the card with Dimensionals..  The sentiment can be found in the Friendly Hello Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set (see above).

I also added a couple of Elegant Faceted Gems to the sentiment.  It just needed a little sparkle!!

Finally, I colored the palms in Granny Apple Green ink and the pot in Daffodil Delight ink using the Brights Stampin' Write Markers and stamped on Basic White card stock.  This image can be found in the Island Vibes Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set - yours FREE with a $50 order during Sale-a-Bration.  This image was also die-cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and added to the card with Dimensionals.
