Halloween Treat Class - Sunday, October 6

These are the fun projects we'll be making at the Halloween Treat Class
on Sunday, October 6 from 1-4pm!  Class fee is $15 or the class is free with an order that day.

This first treat idea uses an empty embellishment container to hold a fun Halloween candy stash! 

We embossed the Pumpkin Pie circle piece that covers the top of the container using the Houndstooth Embossing folder.  Next, we added a strip of the Witches Brew Designer Series Paper and flagged each end.   Over top of this, we added a 1 3/4" Basic Black circle, followed by a 1 3/4" Scallop circle using more Witches Brew DSP and then finally a 1 1/4" Scallop circle layer of Pumpkin Pie.  We also stamped "it's all about the candy!" from the Halloween Hello set on this top scallop circle and added a Pumpkin Pie 1/8" Taffeta ribbon.  What a cute idea!!  And, thanks to Ronda Wade for sharing this fun idea (as well as the treat cone and "NUM NUM" treat ideas that follow below) at her Creative Convention this past August!!

 This next idea is a treat cone that holds more fun Halloween stash!!

 

This treat cone features the Witches Brew Designer Series Paper as well (see this DSP above).  This is fabulous paper for your Halloween projects this year!!  We cut a 6" x 6" piece of DSP, folded the ends together and adhered them with sticky strip.  Next, we stamped the background image (on the piece punched with the Decorative Label punch) from the Four Frames Set.  You could also use the background image for the Decorative Label punch from the new Halloween Bash stamp set (see this set above).  I don't actually have this set, so I decided to improvise with the Four Frames set instead!  Next, we layered a Basic Black 1 3/4" circle punch on top of the Decorative Label punch piece.  Finally, we stamped the witch and "Halloween Hello" from the Halloween Hello set and punched those out with the new Label Bracket Punch.

I LOVE the stripes on this next Halloween treat project, how about you??

We start this project with the Large Scallop Square from the Square Framelits, then add that fun layer of the striped Witches Brew Designer Series Paper.  We filled our treat cup with candy corn and attached it to the DSP and Pumpkin Pie scallop square base (after we punched the DSP with the 1 3/4" circle punch).  Then we layered a Basic Black 2 3/8" Scallop Circle (and punched the center out with the 1 3/4" circle punch) over the edge of the treat cup.  Finally, we stamped "NUM NUM" from the Oh, Goodie set and punched it out with the Modern Label punch.

I found the idea for this next Halloween treat in the Holiday Catalog!
                                                                                                                  

We punched one large 2 1/2" circle punch, cut it in half, then used the 3/4" circle punch to make the scallops on the wings of the bat.  Next, we used a two-way glue pen to cover the wings with glue and then sprinkled Black Stampin' Glitter over the wings.  Finally, we stamped "BATS ABOUT YOU" from the Halloween Hello set and then wrapped this piece around a chocolate nugget and adhered it to the wings!

And.....  here's our last project for this fun Halloween Class!!  It's a great Halloween Card!!  This was another idea I learned at Ronda Wade's Creative Convention - I apologize that I forgot to note who created this card!  I sure do love it!!



This card starts with a Basic Black card base, then we add two separate layers of the Witches Brew Designer Series Paper on the top and bottom of the card.  Next, we tied a coordinating Summer Starfruit 3/8" Stitched Satin ribbon around the card.  Finally, we stamped more fun images from the Halloween Hello set, punched them out with the 1 1/4" circle punch and then layered them on 1 3/8" circles (punched from Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie and Basic Gray).
