Butterfly Basics... Happy Birthday

This is one of the cards we made at our Group Meeting this month.
We make one set of cards each month that we donate to a local organization.  In the past, we've made donations to the Commission on Aging, the Cancer Center and the local Hospice House.  They each use the cards in a unique way to brighten the lives of those they touch in their organization.  We have a dedicated group of ladies that love to make these cards each month, and I'm proud to be a part of it!

We start our card with a Crumb Cake card base, then added a layer of Pear Pizzaz card stock, followed by a layer of Very Vanilla card stock.

We stamped our Very Vanilla piece with the butterfly (from the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set) in Blackberry Bliss ink, then the fern fronds in Pear Pizzaz ink (stamping it once in full strength ink, then again beside it without re-inking the stamp).

Next, we stamped "Happy Birthday" in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then sponged the edges of the card with Crumb Cake ink.

Finally, we added 3 small pearls to the center of the butterfly.
