Hip Hip Hooray.... Endless Birthday Wishes

Hip Hip Hooray!!

It's my son (Cade's) birthday today!!

He'll be 13 years old - so hard to believe how fast time goes!!  The teenage years....   I've seen glimpses of them already - fortunately, I still see more sweet and innocent in him than anything else (well, most of the time!).

So, here's a sweet birthday card for you today in honor of Cade :).

We start our card with a Pool Party card base, then added a layer of Blackberry Bliss card stock, followed by a layer of Whisper White card stock.

Next, we stamped "hip hip hooray" and "it's your birthday" (from the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set) in Blackberry Bliss ink.  We also stamped that cute cake (from the Endless Birthday Wishes Stamp Set) in Black Stazon ink, then colored the cake in with our Blender Pens and Old Olive, Pool Party and Blackberry Bliss ink.

Make sure to use the Black Stazon ink whenever you are coloring with Blender Pens or Aquapainters - this is a permanent black ink and will not run when it gets wet!

Endless Birthday Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set  140273  $16.00

Jet Black Stazon Ink  101406  $8.00

Blender Pens  102845  $10.00

We stamped those cute stars (from the Something to Say Stamp set) in Old Olive, Pool Party and Blackberry Bliss ink and then punched them out with the star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack

We also punched a bunch of banners using our Banner Punch.

Something to Say Stamp Set  (wood-mount)  134177  $30.00
Something to Say Stamp Set  (clear-mount)  134180  $22.00

Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack  133787  $17.00

Banner Punch  133519  $13.00

I found it was easiest to lightly adhere the banners to the card, then reposition them as needed once they were all laid out on the card.  Fill in with the baby stars between each banner.

Finally, we added some Rhinestones to each banner and on the star above the "it's your birthday" sentiment".

I hope you enjoyed this card!  Thanks so much to Carol Lovenstein for her inspiration on this card!

And...  I hope you have an Inkspired day!!
