Watercolor Wishes.... You're in my Thoughts

I sent this card to a friend whose mom had passed away earlier this summer.  She lives in Minnesota (so I don't get to see her much), but I wanted to let her know that I think of her often.

We made this card at a Customer Appreciation Event I held last month.  I knew (based on the number of people that RSVP'd - we had a great turnout!) that I had to keep the cards simple, yet beautiful!

So, I chose the Watercolor Wishes Stamp set and English Garden Designer Series Paper - 

they pair so well together!

This stamp set can be found in the Watercolor Wishes Card kit.  The cards in the kit are all fabulous (see the kit below), and you're left with an awesome stamp set, ink spots and some fun embellishments to use on other projects..... 

This kit makes the perfect gift (birthday, holidays??) because you literally get everything you need (except adhesive, which we sell, too!) to put these cards together!  The instructions are simple and easy to follow - anyone, even a young girl, could put these cards together!

So, this is what I came up with.....

We start our card with a Crumb Cake card base (you could even use the Crumb Cake Notecards & Envelopes if you'd like to make it super-simple!).  Then, we added a piece of that gorgeous English Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP) - this pattern is one of my favorites in the DSP pack!

Next, we stamped "You're in My Thoughts" in Night of Navy ink (this is one of the ink spots that come in the Watercolor Wishes Card Kit) and flagged the end with our Banner Triple Punch.

We also added some of the Crushed Curry (Bohemian) Washi Tape to the end of our sentiment/flagged piece.

Finally, we added a small flower (I thought it echoed the look of the flowers on the Designer Series Paper) using our Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and put a Rhinestone in the middle of our flower.
