Pop of Pink.... A Very Special Day

I wasn't really sure about this flamingo when I first saw it in the catalog, but he's a lot of fun now that I've been stamping with him.... :).  I guess I just wasn't sure what to do with him, but he looks good here, don't you think?

We start our card with a Melon Mambo card base, then added a layer of Basic Black card stock, followed by a layer of Whisper White card stock.

Before adding our layer of Whisper White card stock to our card, we added 8 strips of the Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape.  I love the fun bold colors and designs on this washi tape, and they make this card so interesting!

Next, we punched our 2" wide Whisper White tag using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.  We also stamped that fun pink flamingo (in Melon Mambo ink) and the sentiment "A Very Special Day" (in Basic Black Archival Ink) using the Pop of Paradise Stamp Set.

Then, we added a Melon Mambo Thick Baker's Twine Bow to the top of our tag and added it to our card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Finally, we added a fun gold heart using our Gold Foil Sheets and the new Sweet & Sassy Framelits.  These framelits come in 15 different sizes and 2 different shape hearts.  They're so much fun!
