3D Project/Big Shot Class - Thursday, April 25

Here are the projects we'll be making this week on Thursday, April 25 at 7pm at the 3D Project/Big Shot Class!! I thought this would be a fun Mother's Day gift!!

We learned how to make this great paper bow on the Kraft Box at the Stampin' Up Convention last year. I love how it looks and was excited to finally have a good reason to make one for class!! You start with 4 strips of card stock. They mention that you should cut the paper along the grain to make it easier to curl with the bone folder. I could definitely tell which pieces I had cut against the grain because they didn't want to curl nearly as well as the others!!

First, flag the ends of the 1" x 5 1/4 piece with a square punch. Next, adhere together in a circle (after you curl with the bone folder) the 1" x 7" piece and the 1" x 8 1/2" piece. Lay them all on top of each other and then wrap a 5/8" x 3" piece around the middle of them all!! Attach a Vintage Faceted button (tied with Linen Thread), and you're all set!!

We also used the inside circle pieces from the wood-mount Daydream Medallions set to stamp those cute Real Red circles on the Kraft Box. What a fun idea!! I have always thrown those "extra" pieces out, but not anymore!!

I CASEd these cards from Mary Fish's blog a long time ago and am happy to be able to share them with you now!! Each mini 3x3 card is stamped with various flower images from the Bright Blossoms set. The greetings are from the Made for You set. We also embossed the bottom of each card with the Needlepoint Embossing Folder. Finally, we used Real Red, Old Olive and Early Espresso stamp pads and markers for each card as well. We made each of the envelopes (from the Brights Collection Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack) with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool and the Diagonal Score Plate. Just cut 5" x 5" pieces of the DSP, and score at 2 3/4" along all sides, then fold together and adhere!!

We stamped a Mother's Day card as well, to go with this great gift for mom!!

I saw a verion of this card on Stampin' Connection from Brenda Rivera. I changed the colors to coordinate with our theme, and here you go!!

We start with a Whisper White card base, then add another layer of Whisper White embossed with the Cloudy Day Embossing folder on top and a strip of the Bright Collection DSP Patterns Stack on the bottom of the card. We framed our beautiful flowers with the Labels Collection framelits and the Designer Frames Embossing Folders. Finally, we added an Old Olive border with the Scallop Edge Border punch and then tied a pretty Whisper White Organza ribbon to the card!
