Number of Years... Look Who's Turning 29 Again

This is such a fun card!!  I knew as soon as I saw all of the ideas floating around the internet using the new number framelits that we'd be making one of these fun cards at class this month - and, of course, we did!

We start our card with a Sahara Sand card base, then added a strip of It's My Party Designer Series Paper (DSP) and mounted this on top of a Melon Mambo strip of card stock.

The It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack has quickly become a favorite of mine this spring - and, to think...  I wasn't even sure I liked it when I first saw the Occasions Catalog!  Well, as evidenced by the many cards I've shared on my blog using this DSP, that is no longer the case!

I even decided to give a sample of this DSP to each of my club members this month - I think they've really enjoyed all of the patterns in this DSP, too!!  (see them all below)

Next, we die-cut a circle using the Circles Collection Framelits (another retiring item) and then stamped "Look who's turning" and "Again" in Basic Black Archival ink.  Both of these sentiments can be found in the Number of Years Photopolyer stamp set - just curl the top sentiment to fit along the curve of the circle, making sure to leave enough room for your numbers on the circle.

We also die-cut our "29" using the new Large Number Framelits.  These framelits and the Number of Years Stamp Set can be purchased separately, or you can save 15% when you buy the bundle.  And...  these framelits are awesome!!  They measure about 2" high.

Finally, we punched two Crushed Curry balloons using our Balloon Bouquet Punch, added them to our card with Dimensionals and then tied a Melon Mambo and Black Baker's Twine bow and added it to our balloons.
