My Hero

Here's a really cute card we made last month at our All-Occasion Card Class.  If you want to make cute cards like this with us, consider attending the next All-Occasion Card Class (see the class details at the end of this post).

I had wanted to feature the Umbrella Weather Framelits at class and went in search of a cute card idea on Pinterest - and this is what I found....  Thanks so much to Chat Wszelaki for her inspiration on this card!  I think anyone that receives this card will feel a little bit better after they open it!

We start our card with a Whisper White card base, then added 3 strips of Designer Series Paper - Tip Top Taupe and Emerald Envy to be exact - from the In Color 2015-17 (for Tip Top Taupe) and In Color 2016-18 (for Emerald Envy) Designer Series Paper Stacks.

2015-17 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack  138432  $22.00

2016-18 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack  141408  $22.00

Next, we added a piece of Crushed Curry Card Stock to the center of the card, layered with a piece of Whisper White card stock.

We stamped the handle to our umbrella (from the My Hero Stamp Set) directly on our Whisper White piece in Tip Top Taupe ink.

My Hero Stamp Set  wood-mount  141954  $29.00
My Hero Stamp Set  clear-mount  141957  $21.00

Something fun to note....  Stampin Up will donate $3 from the purchase of every My Hero Stamp Set to the Ronald McDonald House Charities :).  So, just another reason to buy this set (I mean, it's cute and you donate to a great charity at the same time!).

Next, we stamped the umbrella that says "heard you've been under the weather" (also from the My Hero Stamp Set) in Emerald Envy ink and die-cut it with the coordinating Umbrella Weather Framelits.

We also tied a simple bow in Emerald Envy Baker's Twine and added it to our umbrella with a Mini Glue Dot.

Umbrella Weather Framelits  141479  $29.00

Emerald Envy Baker's Twine  141686  $3.00

Mini Glue Dots  103683  $5.25

Finally, we stamped "Hope Tomorrow Finds You Feeling Better." (also from the My Hero Stamp Set) in Emerald Envy ink on a 1/2" strip of Whisper White card stock, then layered this on top of a 5/8" strip of Tip Top Taupe card stock.  We also die-cut a bitty flower from the Swirly Scribbles Framelits and added it to our card with a small Pearl in its center.

Swirly Scribbles Framelits  141497  $27.00

Pearl Basic Jewels  119247  $5.00

I sure hope you enjoyed this card!
