Marquee Messages... Happy Birthday

This is such a cool stamp set - it makes me think of '50s drive-ins and the fun, flashy signs that marked these drive-ins!

It works great for birthday cards, too!

We start our card with a Whisper White card base, then added a layer of Bermuda Bay card stock.  We also added a layer of Basic Black card stock but put it at a "jaunty" angle on our card.

Then, we had some fun...

-first, we stamped the marquee/arrow sign in Basic Black Archival ink (once on our Whisper White piece and again on a separate piece of Crushed Curry card stock that we later fussy-cut with our Paper Snips)

-next, we stamped "It's Your" and "Birthday" in Bermuda Bay ink

-we colored in parts of our sign and the little "stars" using our Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Markers

-finally, we stamped "Party Like a Rock Star" in Basic Black Archival ink

Before adding all of our layers to the card, we tied a Basic Black Baker's Twine bow around the card.
