Stampin' Up! Wood Words

Here's a fun, colorful card for you today!  It features LOTS of new product from our next Annual Catalog!!  To see a copy of our most recent Annual Catalog

We made this card at our recent New Annual Catalog Kickoff and Buy One, Get One Free Event.  I was so excited when I saw this design idea by Valerie Moody (on Pinterest, of course!) for this card.  It was fun to share it with everyone at the event.  Thanks to Valerie for her inspiration on this card!

We start our card with a Thick Whisper White card base.  I just love this thick cardstock for card bases!  I don't know the exact statistics, but I think it feels about 4 times as thick as our regular Whisper White card stock!  Did you know it comes in Very Vanilla now, too??

Next, we stamped those gorgeous flowers on our card base using the Wood Words Stamp Set and Real Red ink.

We also added a piece of the new Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack to the middle of our card.

Then, we stamped our rooster in Real Red Ink and "Hello Friend" in Soft Suede Ink (also from the Wood Word Stamp Set).  We die-cut the rooster using our Stitched Shapes Framelits and flagged the end of our "Hello Friend" piece (and the other strip of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper behind it) using our Paper Snips.
